RE: Applying Lower Thirds In Movie Edit Pro 2015
Hi All MEP doesn't support alpha channel video, unfortunately, only images. Not so! MEP has always worked with a 32bit RGBA (A=Alpha channel) AVI dropped on the track below the video, without having to apply any further Alpha or Chroma key

Thanks for response, John. I guess I'm missing something, but can't get it to work. No problem sizing, but when I apply video effects/chroma key/alpha, no go. I've tried adjusting the thresholds & video level to no avail. I'd like to email you

RE: Impressive performance with Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet and MEP2015
Hi John Thanks for the feedback. I have been comparing the specs of the Pro2 with my Pro3 and the main difference is the Pro2 has a 4200U I5 with base clock of 1.6Ghz / Max 2.5Ghz against my 4300U with a 1.9 / Max 2.9Ghz clock. However MS has

Hi, Trying – I’m not sure why it reads ‘CD’ when I clearly selected the choice for DVD, and have only had DVD-R and DVD-RW’s burned. So I’m not burning a CD, but for some odd reason, Magix is calling the disc a ‘CD’. Hi, Emmrecs – I’m on VPX 5

RE: I have several. Collor correction with Croma Key and Cropping
I can see from your first picture that you have used chroma key to place the man against a background of the sky and flowers.  What I don't understand is why the man in your second picture is shown as extremely "pink" nor why you need to "crop"

RE: MEP2014 help me understand masks !
Thank you browj2, the trick was to NOT load the mask through pop down menu "LOAD MASK", but to drag and drop it like any other object, I already named the mask file with xxx_alpha.jpg and the chroma key was automatically applied, I didn't need to

RE: How do you make a PNG File
Michael, You do not generally need a PNG file, any image format will do as long as: 1. The background color is one that can be set to ...'be hidden' in the Effects >>Video effects >> Chroma key menu. 2. The transparent color

Hi Anirban, At my point 3, I should have indicated that this is a transparent png file. This one corresponds to my point 6, and is the white text that is placed on track 2. There is no need to give it a chroma key effect, since all that shows up

Outputting Alpha Channel Videos for Website
I see this effect a lot and in all the iterations and releases of MAGIX over the year, I have not seen reference to outputing the video with a transparent alpha channel so a character chatting on a webpage can appear independent of the rectangle

RE: create curved screen smilebox effect from anamorphic video
screwfidel, The resize and stretch are easy using 'Effects' >> 'Size/Position' as shown below. I didn't have any anamorphic clips to use so I chose a familiar circle to demonstrate the stretch. I've used values in % as it was easier.
