RE: Samplitude Music Studio X8 - suddenly crashing
@Steven-Wood Ok, it would be good to know if you can get Samplitude to crash with WDM or MME drivers. Maybe also try another ASIO driver. For example, if you install the free demo version of FL Studio it also installs the FL Studio ASIO driver. In

RE: MM2026 34.0.0.6 VST instruments causing severe audio problems
A couple of points to add... The CPU and graphics card both seem to be about 10 years old. I'm not saying that's the root of the problem, but it probably isn't helping. VSTs generally take a lot of processing and Music Maker hasn't ever really been

RE: [Solved] Samplitude keeps crashing with ASIO4All
@psychojosh13 Do you use the newest version of ASIO4ALL? You can reset the program settings of Samplitude via its Help menu. If I remember it correctly the menu entry is called "restore default behavior". Be aware, in case you have custom shortcuts

[Solved] Soundcard Options
I'm about to replace my old laptop (because it will not support Windows 11) on which I use Samplitude X8. Currently I have an onboard soundcard. My question - does the replacement (either laptop or mini PC) need to include an onboard soundcard, or

@gregory-battaglia You can get it from here: https://asio4all.org/downloads/ASIO4ALL_2_16.exe Okay, I downloaded it. How to install it?

RE: MM2026 34.0.0.6 VST instruments causing severe audio problems

RE: Magix music maker on linux mint
@stephen-kelly6215 An interesting experiment. There is one issue you may have, and testing will show, is latency, the Windows fix would be direct ASIO access to the sound card/device. AFAIK, no 'Linux' distribution supports ASIO natively, this

RE: [Solved] Sound Forge 17 and issues with Microsoft Sound Mapper
@Sdeleon101 Maybe it has nothing to do with the Microsoft Sound Mapper. Some computer systems might encounter problems with the Magix Low Latency audio driver that gets installed alongside Sound Forge. This is an old version of ASIO4ALL. If you want

RE: Samplitude keeps crashing with ASIO4All
So far so good, thanks! And yes, it is the most recent version of ASIO4All on their website. I also noticed that I was still getting a small latency issue while recording MIDI, and that it seemed to be caused by a specific effect plugin on the track

@Silas-deJong Make sure you have selected an ASIO driver in the Music Maker program settings.

RE: No sound on VST instruments
That's right, I should have typed that it was in the Audio/Midi tab in the program settings. Nonetheless - as before after selecting the ASIO driver and Music Maker Asio it defaults to 'none'.

RE: No sound on VST instruments
@Campbell-McMahan No ASIO driver, no sound while pressing keyboard keys or placing notes in the MIDI Editor. ASIO driver selection is under the Audio/MIDI tab in the program settings, not the project settings.

RE: Midi keyboard not playing live
@Alex-Kirkwood You have a Focusrite Scarlett interface? That should be enough. You select the Focusrite ASIO driver in the Music Maker audio settings and set the ASIO buffer size to reasonable value, for example 512 samples. Connect your speakers or

Jumping in here as I'm having much the same issue. I got a new Geekom IT15 mini PC with Windows 11 and installed Sound Forge Pro 18 on it. Like Steve, one of my tasks is recording audio from my turntable to the PC - sending the audio into the phono

RE: [Solved] sound forge 17 wont open
@Sarah-Lochridge Thanks! This line here makes me think that the Magix Low Latency audio driver (which is an old, rebranded version of the ASIO4ALL driver) is crashing. Faulting module name: mgxasio4_x64.dll If you want to uninstall Magix Low Latency

RE: Real Time Varispeed Sound Quality in Samp & WhichSound Forge Version?
@gregory-battaglia ........., but I recommend you install the newest version of ASIO4ALL because Magix Low Latency is a pretty old version of ASIO4ALL. Are you sure that Samplitude has the new ASIO driver installed, or do I have to download it from

@Ron-Burton You might need to select and apply the ASIO driver of the interface in the program preferences. Make sure to enable microphone access in the Windows security settings otherwise Windows will block audio recording for security reasons.
