RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
They still haven't fixed the AVI export in the 2025 version. When the frame rate 23.976 (24000/1001) standard NTSC, the AVI output is 23976/1000 and the time is shortened so that the audio and video get out of sync. It is possible to use VirtualDub

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@CubeAceThat is a very cute TV! Thanks for the personal history lesson. Actually your old CRT is a good lead in to my next finding which I would like to share with you all. @AAProds highlighted the fact that MMS has a problem with the 4:3 aspect

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@Can-Dive I was not aware of this 4:3 vs 5:4 issue. Do you know if this problem exists across different video editors? For example, to your knowledge, does Vegas Pro have this issue? I couldn't say. We do have a few Vegas users here though so they

RE: How to change the size of my preview window
@Bill-the-repair-guy Hi As @Gid commented: 'Sounds like a mix of Movie aspect ratio vs Export ratio settings' I agree looking at your project settings they appear to be incorrect 1920 x 1080 is not 2:1 Aspect ratio, it is 16:9 and will result in

@Can-Dive Hi, ...the Startech. Just curious if it uses a generic driver; What is it called in Device Manager? I downloaded and installed the driver from the StarTech site - 2828x. I may get around to looking at the avi Lagarith later this

RE: Customised Export but still black bars at top and bottom
Thankyou Andy and Ray, Initially I kept looking at Andy’s answer and then to MEP and trying another Export and another and another. It does seem that with my version of MEP I could still go back to change the original Movie Settings. (Initially I

Travel maps issues 5.0.0.501 Latest updates installed
I have Photostory Deluxe 2024 (23.0.1.193 UDP3) on my Windows 11 HP laptop. I've created and used Travel Maps successfully many times but this time I'm having no luck at all. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong in the settings but I really can't

@Mauricio-flores Hi . . . . importing portrait-oriented footage into Magix Movie Studio. The footage appears stretched horizontally, . . . . This is a common issue with several video editors, particulalrly when you are importing portrait vide into

First of all thanks to you and Sp for trying to help. The Relink file and Select objects do nothing and Collect files brings up a blank file. Now the crazy part. I hit Open file and an audio file opened up. All of the missing tracks were there. The

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
@clement5 @johnebaker @me_again I think I've cracked the image issue. With the help of my old website from long ago, this issue has been around since probably since day dot. It only occurs with images that are exactly 720x576 (I haven't tried "NTSC"

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
The solution in VD is very simple, use the aspect ratio parameter only as the display ratio and not as an indicator of how many pixels. Then the resolution or pixel count determines what is exported. In the case of AVI, the aspect ratio would be

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@Former user @Can-Dive @johnebaker Gid, Interesting. A version of Frame Salad? I wouldn't have expected that on your machine. You can see the black side bars in Magix where it is not expanding the image to the full 4:3 screen, even though it thinks

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@browj2 That blurring in the details was gone. John, the original issue was the washed-out look. I assume that capturing to avi makes huge files. So capturing a 2 hour cassette is going to tax my hard drives, correct? Depends on the AVI codec. You

RE: this may be a silly question but i need to ask it
@spuddy13 You have three options (well, I can think of three!), if you want to fill the screen, for dealing with portrait videos in a landscape movie. You have to decide whether you want no black bars on the sides, because reducing the size of the

RE: MS2023: area outside of the viewable screen; change color
@me_again Andy, there's no need to do that; if you're happy with black bars, just set the movie to 21:9 and plop your 4:3 on the timeline and "do not adjust". It will be centred L-R and full-screen top-bottom. If you want to colour the sidebars,
