  I have the same problem.  All other prior versions worked fine -- same computer, etc. NO hardware or software changes.  Works fine in AVI etc. ONLY MP4 crashes.   Running Win 7, on Dell, Intel Quad 4, Tons of memory and resources -- NO problem
