  I use Faststone Image Viewer. It's Freeware, simple, lightweight and has a batch converter. It works on XP all the way up to Win11 and version 8.0 was recently released.  I'll second this. Nifty program for basic image editing.

  @Odd-Aagesen I have hundreds of short DV Avi's created with my Sony DV camera and the mediafiles of a few random ones are identical to your mediafile EXCEPT mine for some reason under VIDEO shows Encoder Settings (I don't think this is important)

  Meters running slightly ahead of the music playback
  Hi - rather annoyingly the meters are running slightly ahead of music playback. This is not happening on any other similar program, only Sound Forge 17. I'm sure it's a simple fix - can anyone help please? Big thanks!

  @Iris-Willis There's a plugin for GIMP to batch convert but I don't have it installed. You might be better off using this online app. https://picflow.com/convert/heic-to-jpg I just tried it & it seems very simple, drag the files into the window

  @frank-flores Simple solution: don't use Waves. For some reason these plugins often only work correctly in programs they officially support. That's why they have a compatibility list on their website.
