RE: Difficulty getting VirtualDub plugins
Hi all, I can only assume that the option (1) is being picked up from MEP 2014 where it does exist. That would be a neat trick! I wish MEP 2016 would pick up all my effects, collages, templates, etc from 2014. I'm currently doing so manually

Workflow methods?
In all previous versions of MEP I've sized it to 75% of my 1920 X 1200 screen, using the remaining quarter on the right for source folders of photos and video clips, my text editor, etc. Instead of using the Import tab I normally stayed in Effects

RE: Collage effecst with MEP 2015 (how to apply them)
Hi To apply a collage effect - drag it on to the first image or video object that its to appear in the collage. Note: you must have all the required images or video on the timeline in sequence before applying the collage the names

Collage effecst with MEP 2015 (how to apply them)
Hi, I have searched collage effects quite thoroughly before posting this question and not found much, except a very extensive and too complicated post about making your own, posted by one of the distuinguished members of this forum. I have

RE: Movie Edit Pro 2016 Customized DVD Menus --Rank video beginner
Hi @ Peter . . . . you do not need to render each separate movie or create multiple projects . . . . I agree with you if you have a PC with enough power, as tlwebb has, and have only 2 or 3 timelines in the project. At the time the

Hi After a bit more experimenting, ie firing up my old computer - a quad core Q8300 2.5GHz, 4GB RAM, GTX 690 graphics card and testing VPX 4, no hardware acceleration, with a complex project as shown below exporting a 7 mins section

RE: can I copy channel from one project to another
Hi . . . . copy a channel . . . . I presume you mean a timeline track - you can, however when you paste it into a new project you will also get all the video / image / audio objects as well which you would then have to copy the individual

RE: Floating pictures
Hi, You use the Size/Position effects along with keyframes for animation. See some of the tutorials to understand the basics. You can also apply a collage that has animation and then look to see how they did it. Here is tutorial by Terry

RE: Anyone else finding MAGIX Support somewhat lacking?
I probably should have opened a new thread for this. I updated to patch 15.0.0.83: * Improved playback performance * Rare snags during program registration fixed * Rare crashes during JPEG import fixed * Fixed crash during HDV recording

Hi Brae, I found both of your posts asking about streaming four videos of yourself playing. I think the first question is if you will be playing live, or playing to a sound track. If you want the best possible audio quaility, then you should

RE: Need to know before I purchase!
Hi What you want to do is easily achieved in Movie Edit Pro (MEP) in several different ways - in the case of the 4 images arranged as shown in the video clip it is called a collage, there are also Picture in Picture (PIP) effects

Hi . . . . And is it normal for my computer to take up to 2 hours to encode and burn to a Blu-Ray disc? . . . . Apologies should have made the time taken a little clearer - the 2 hrs refers to encoding and burning the 13 - 14 minute

RE: Changing photo length: why this behaviour?
Hi Terry AFAICS the reason is in the last sentence of the answer from Magix you posted . . . . since the actual durations will obviously depend on the specific effects applied . . . . . If an effect is > 3 or 4 secs long then the image

RE: automatically create proxy files
Hi Pat I think I did not make it very clear re proxy files - they only are used for video files - if you are working with images only then proxy files are not created / used. Proxy files are useful when doing complex video editting, collages

Hi John, However I still had to tweak it because it only applied it to 4 out of the 8 selected images even though it has the >3 in its name. >3 means 'For 3 landscape ojects', not 'For more than 3 objects'. I don't have any 8

RE: Changing photo length: why this behaviour?
What I would really like to know, once I have created a collage, is how to export it as a single .ctf file instead of the individual components. @John EB, Terry's tutorial covers this, I believe? @John and Terry, Re Slideshow wizard:

RE: Changing photo length: why this behaviour?
Thanks John, understood. Very nice collage! Are all yours custom made? I'm doing that more frequently nowadays, maybe 50-50 versus ready-made. Almost all of the latter are of my own making though, so I'm capitalising on the initial effort. BTW,

RE: 6 Picture Photo Collage Transition Speed
I am using MEP Version 2016 plus. The 6 Photo Collage I am using came preloaded in the program. There is only one 6 Photo Collage Template. All I am trying to do is to speed up the transition from one photo in the collage to the next.
