RE: How to nudge a clip one frame forward or back?
Hi, If there is, I haven't found one, but, you can use the Object Trimmer (Shift+N) to move the object 1 frame at a time left or right. See below. Everything that is on the same track (or grouped like audio) to the right of the selected object will

How to nudge a clip one frame forward or back?
Sorry if I asked this before. I have looked and read, and can not figure out how to do this. Is there a key stroke that will move a clip, or range of selected clips frame by frame forwards or backwards?

RE: Do I have the complete instalation?
Unless there is a specific reason why you want the MainConcept codec there is no need for it.What is the final destination of your exported videos - What mp4 export option are you selecting in MEP - click the Display all to see all the available

RE: Expanding range indicator while in full screen view?
Hi Jeff, Hi John, The jog wheel and scrubber help a great deal, thanks John, and I must practice. Still having a problem getting the range expanded so that I can move the marker to precise positions but will try again later. (I'm on self-imposed

RE: Expanding range indicator while in full screen view?
Hi Terry, Turn on the jog wheel and you should also see the scrubber. Both are useful. Jog wheel will go at 1 frame at a time as the wheel is dragged. To zoom in on the range, drag the end of the horizontal scroll bar inwards just like everywhere

RE: Expanding range indicator while in full screen view?
Hi Terry. I can't answer your first question, sorry, but to advance by single frame you should be able to use the right (forward) and left (reverse) arrow keys, I think, whether in full screen or "normal" view. (I've just checked this in VPX and it

    RE: More unexpected behaviour
Hi Terry This behaviour has been in MEP for a long while and occurs even if you have Single track ripple selected. IIRC it was brought up many times in the old forum. The 'quick and dirty' solution was to lock the track(s) that you did not want to

    RE: Alpha-channel hardware acceleration
Hi The GTX980 is as good as any Nvidia card from the last 4 years or so but forget about CUDA as it is no longer used for GPU encoding and has never been used for Timeline preview Hardware Acceleration in Magix software. Preview will be accelerated

    RE: VPX update to 15.0.3.148
Hi Jeff, You got VSCL with VPX. Peter got Mercalli V4 with VPX. I only got a survey with VPX. On my desktop, the "Edit wave externally" and AML are now working wonderfully. There were problems initially and I complained to Magix, and then gave up

I am still monitoring 😉 as I get topic-updates in my e-mail. - I am not aware of Moving Masks and what they do. Basically what I am looking for is an ability to remove backgrounds from a particular subject. Think of an icedancer and able to remove

RE: KF editing: quirks and puzzles
Hi John, I think you too must have a mild case of OCED. You don't need the curve editor "to move sets of key frames along the timeline". Just select them and drag.

RE: KF editing: quirks and puzzles
Hi Terry, That is too ambitious for me, so I use Vasco da Gama and let it figure out the keyframes. I did learn some new things that will come in useful, and I have to keep at it until I am comfortable. I'll file this in active memory with the other

Hi All Peter, thank you for coming up with the Crtl right-click solution. After the obscure (documented in the manual) shortcut for sliding the image within a trimmed clip and now this, do you have any more gems to share with us? How's this

Newest effect features in Edit Pro

RE: Animated arrows, circles, squares, callouts: Does Magix have them?
Hi, I believe the only one of these 'Presentation' objects that is already animated is 'Defaults arrow'. But all of them can be animated with Key Framing (KF). I have several animated circles, ellipses etc, but I suspect I either imported them

RE: Using Photostory 2017 to reproduce Ken Burns effects
Many thanks John for the superb video tutorial. I had, more by accident than skill, come to roughly (with the emphasis on roughly) the same result using "Camera/ zoom shot." I shall now try your method, which is much more refined. Cheers, John PS.

Using Photostory 2017 to reproduce Ken Burns effects
Dear All, I have an AMD athlon quad core, 32 GB of RAM and an ASUS HD6570 graphics card, running Windows 7 64 bit OS. For a number of years I've used Serif's MoviePlus X6 to produce slide shows, which have included pan and zoom operating on still
