To answer both questions - I have Windows 10, the HyperX microphone is set to the default microphone in the list of recording devices and has always been there. I use the microphone for podcast, streaming, discord with no issues - it's just Acid 10

I'm having a problem with Acid 10 Pro - recording device
I have used Acid for 20 years as a licensed user - but haven't actually used it in last 5 years for recording vocals. When I go into Options>Preferences>Audio Device - my only option is to use the Microsoft Sound Mapper. How do I change this

@beth-hall Could you upload a screenshot of your Samplitude audio and driver settings? You can use the arrow icon above the text box to upload it to this forum. Usually you should get an USB microphone working by configuring it in the Magix Low

I plugged the mic into a port on top of the computer. Should I have found a way to plug into the back so that Realtek recognizes this mic as the Realtek microphone?

Hi @James-Keenan, it is not a limitation of Sound Forge . Check your Windows (record) sound settings. Also check the Win 10 'Privacy' settings for the microphone, which can cause a no audio input situation. Recheck the 'audio device type' settings
