RE: Problems with footage
@johnebaker Hi John. Thanks for the link. It verifies my thoughts that it is beyond my grasp beyond a gut feeling. So metaphorically, are you jumping from the frying pan? Ray.

RE: Long photo moving pan
@Dave-Eric Use Camera/Zoom Shot. Place the selection box where you want the pan to start. Then put the cursor at the end of the image, set the selection box where you want the pan to end and that's it.

RE: Long photo moving pan
Thanks for your help. I did this, and what I got was that the starting section of the first 1920 of the image, moved from the beginning to the end. So the section moved correctly, but it was a still of the first part of the image, not panning the

I have 2019 Movie Edit Pro. I want to place a long photo 5382 x 1080 in my video. Then I want a 1 minute scene in which the image section moves/pans from the left side of the image to the right side. How can I do this?

RE: VPX12 Mercalli V5 Suite upgrade?
@johnebaker Hi John. Nice pan. Here is a steadycam version pivoting from a central spot, much faster for comparison. Please do not watch this full screen while standing. It is an unedited, straight from camera shot. I have no idea why they call

RE: VPX12 Mercalli V5 Suite upgrade?
@johnebaker Hi John. Not sure if it's off topic if it helps the program do a better conversion. I do agree a body swivel works with a slow pan but tracking a faster object or person on the move I have found the other method more effective. Again

RE: VPX12 Mercalli V5 Suite upgrade?
@CubeAce Hi Ray . . . . One thing I have found to improve panning is not to twist my body with the camera but keep an eye on the lens placement and walk around or twist the camera so the lens stays at the same point in space. . . . . OT however

RE: Turn a 360 photo into a video
@Bruce-Rutherford It's the viewer for the Magix forum. Watch this that I posted on YT. While playing or paused, you can scroll left, right, up, down. Is that what you are looking for? Or do you want a static pan video with no possible user

RE: Turn a 360 photo into a video
@Bruce-Rutherford Hi, Normally, you have to use panning on the panorama image like @AAProds indicated. However, you need to understand how to do keyframing and using the Size/Position commands. For a normal panorama, rather than the camera/zoom, I

RE: How to crop a portrait video to get rid of the black bars either side?
@weedavy6969 If don't want any side bars (black or otherwise), use the "Section" effect. First, go to File>Settings>Movie (or hit the E key). This brings up the settings for your current movie/project. At the bottom, in the Video Settings

@johnebaker Hi John I don't use HEVC either it is IMHO poor with pan shots unless the source framerate is at least 50 fps and is exported at 50 fps. Can you explain where you see this "poorness" and is this on your TV or your computer or both? Peter
