  After reading your question I guess you are in wrong shoes. Music maker no matter which version got pre made sounds in loops. We can also use Piano, guitar or any equipment attach to computer to record but one track at a time. In Music Maker 16

  Hi, MMM 16 got limited features as compare to MMM 16 Premium. But you can still use vocoder and even you can use add style button. I guess you are using MMM 16 in Easy mode. To see all features you should turn off easy mode. Look at top left

  How do I convert the Livid Drum synthesizer takes (or any synth instruments) into tracks that show the sound waves on the Standard Layout - and not just blips or Blank objects?
