@CubeAce Thanks Ray. MEP 2019 used to do it too. @me_again Andy, do you mean 2022? Strangly, sometimes when I audio clean or set volume that sort of thing within MEP 2021 the preview screen goes black and will only come back by changing the card in

@sasiuk Hi Dédé, Thanks for confirming about Vegas files. I guess that MEP2022 was too far along and the Movie Studio import Vegas MS files not far enough along to make a merge. @me_again Hi Andy, Thanks for the update. I don't understand your point

@me_again @browj2 @ericlnz @johnebaker Hi Andy. It actually only took 33 mins in the end. Not a good start though on loading an old project.   Had to change the settings to the following for it to work on my system. It is the opposite of John EB's

@me_again Hi Andy. I wouldn't worry about the offer expiring. I am still getting the same upgrade offer every month for VPX 13 and I am on VPX 11. Now, it they get all the bugs fixed, then I'd worry. 🤣🤣😉 Ray.

@me_again Hi Andy Check when your Update Service expires in your account at magix.com, - the email warnings usually start at least a month before it is due. If still current then you can see if MEP it will update online. Having said that, I have had

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@CubeAce Hi Ray, It would be nice to have similar tools in the Chroma Key section that Vegas has Vegas users would like to have those tools in Vegas as well. Your link is to Vegas Image which is an image editor, not the video editor Vegas. It is

@me_again Hi Andy. It would be nice to have similar tools in the Chroma Key section that Vegas has as this would have been a cinch with them but please I'm not getting into a which editor is better conversation. Just making an observation for those

RE: separate videos on a dvd? (like a a dvd recorder)
@johnebaker John, I just had a look at that tute and I think it doesn't go about this the best way. A. Create the individual movies 1) Create an individual project for each movie, adding and editing video, images, titles, effects, soundtrack etc.

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy, Since it seems that you've never tried using a mask, it's time to try. Put 2 vastly different video clips on the timeline, one below the other but with an empty track in between. Go to Templates, Image Objects, Layer masks, and

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy Is the background of the video virtually black? If so try Chromakey black or the Chromakey Color tool to remove the background, adjusting the sliders for best effect. You can then resize/position as needed, you could add any night

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy. This is why I suggested trying to make a matt dynamic mask that could be applied to the movement within each frame. It is more convoluted and can be painstaking but can work with isolating a bright subject compared to the

@me_again aka "undocumented features." I have worked hard in the past trying to document undebugged (© Andy W) features. 7th decade - still a youngster. I just hit one decade higher. John CB

@me_again Thanks from someone just about to enter his 7th decade. Welcome to the old farts club, Andy! Who would have thought we'd still be using MEP after almost 20 years.

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy. Try lining the clips up on individual tracks and using the Chroma Key effect using either STAMP or MIX on the lower tracks and vary the blend levels to taste. You may be limited to using only two or three tracks though. There may

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy, Yes, it's possible. You have to use masks and put the pertinent pieces of the video on separate tracks with a mask in between. Remember that the track protocol is that something on a higher numbered track sits on top of whatever

RE: Merge video files - or should that be superimpose or even overlay?
@me_again Hi Andy. Superimposing is running several clips together so that they all play at the same time. Can be useful for fireworks displays but is that what you want to do for a lightning storm? Sequential clips shortened and edited together to

@me_again Hi Andy I occasionally get emails from both NB and Prodad, may be once or twice a year with an offer. My philosophy is - does the existing feature(s) in the program work satisfactorily for me - if yes, then I don't need another one. As
