RE: New to Magix
Hi Jay, There's scope for ambiguity here. The devil is in the details. After studying the following illustration, can you amplify a bit on what you've tried and where the problem arises? Or for better quality:

RE: New to Magix
Hi, All you really need to do is to use a graphics or photo applicastion set the background color to green, white, or black, draw an elipse, assign some color other than the one you chose for the background to the border assign the fill color to

RE: New to Magix
Well thanks for the input. That would work if you make small radius with a moderate thick line. I could use the line with square corners. The border was just to help set off the image so any border will do. Now for the real challenge, how to

RE: New to Magix
The best I've been able to do so far is to make a separate white border with a transparent interior and position that around the PIP. But it needs to be a rather thicker border than that shown in your example, to ensure that the corners of the PIP

RE: New to Magix
If you go to the you tube video I did for Special Olympics TX. At time segment 40 to 1:05 I do titles, PIP in 2 locations and fad in out out on 3 segments (as I call them). If MEP can handle these items, then cool. Hi, Yes,

Sorry I don't have Photostory, but wonder if your new version has something like a TV safe area set on by default. This was a video editing feature more useful in the days of analog TV but less important with digital displays. Check for 'TV

RE: MEP17+HD stereo3d alignment keyframing crop problem
Hello John, thanks again for bearing with me on this. You seem to have a lot of experience with MEP, and I don’t, so I hope you can teach me about MEP, and in return maybe I can teach you some stereo3D! You’re screengrabs do not show the

RE: MEP17+HD stereo3d alignment keyframing crop problem
Is this what you are referring to: I am not sure you can see that very well... but I am getting some cropping borders that even though I set back to zero still show. Now, I can reset them using the double arrow >< that is found near the

RE: images
The larger the size the better the quality is a rough estimate to using images or videos in any project. Things you need to consider are the Resolution and Aspect Ratio. The DSLR I use takes stunning pictures, but the aspect ratio is not 16:9

RE: MEP 2013 Review
Hi John-auvil Re the stabilisation - it sounds like you need to increase the maximum zoom for the borders to more than the 10% default to see a greater effect. Also try increasing the stabilisation radius to 15-20 and experiment with drawing a

RE: How to remove black borders after screen capture with Movie Edit Pro MX Plus?
Carl, after reading your comments, I tried to delve a bit deeper. It seems that if I set "Recording Quality" in the Screen Capture Dialogue box to "MXV Full Screen", this does the trick. Although the borders still show in the preview window,

RE: How to remove black borders after screen capture with Movie Edit Pro MX Plus?
Carl, well, I try with various capture dimensions, and--by the way--I'm using the MEP screen capture itself (so I would suppose there to be a "natural" flow from capture to export??). Also, I'm exporting as "output to video file" using the lowest

perriced, Sounds like maybe a mismatch between the format of your originals, the settings for your project, or the final type of export, but you give no details. What are the dimensions of the capture? What are you project settings? Does the MEP

The Video. I'm editing my son's wedding and I have a full shot of the wedding program which is longer than it is wide, so not 1920x1080. When it displays, the backround is black. I was hoping I could change the backround from black to the color of

RE: Can anyone help me making a letterbox for my 16:9 film format film?
I would suggest for this that you use the Size / Position tool. This way you can position the film into a new location... but remember, if you resize the film where it is proportional, you will also get side borders, if you set it to not be

Hi Anti-aliasing of the original text can also cause this problem with chroma key. The reason I asked about a border is because a 1 pixel wide border would only appear when the image approaches its original size as you said in the original
