    RE: CR2 File ?
Hi Anirban, You should have some programs on the CD that came with the camera. One of them can treat RAW files. It is probably called DPP something, meaning Digital Photo Professional. Mine comes with a 150 page manual. I've never used RAW

    RE: CR2 File ?
Hi Anirban Your camera can store images as RAW or jpeg files.  CR2  is Canons file extension for the RAW image files. You will find more information in the cameras manual, and how to process CR2 files on the Internet. To open the files you

RE: HDR (High Dynamic Range) Images
Hi, I am not sure that I see much value in this technique.  You can use Photoshop or Xara to generate these effects from pretty much any properly exposed image.  You can also generate them by just using the manual settings on any decent camera,

Great explanations John, mainly the exposure the ones on highlighting shadow and tones. You pointed out sensor as reasons. But my camera has APCS (CMOS Sensor). Is that not good enough? I heard that good photographers hardly take help from

RE: HDR (High Dynamic Range) Images
Hi Anirban . . . . Is there any necessity for HDR images these days with better editing softwares . . . . Yes - the limitations occur before you get to edit the image - they are in the camera sensor - it has a limited dynamic range. Assuming

RE: can't export using Quicktime Export using X6
I just got a response back from Support. This is a known bug. They need to build a bridge between the 64bit X6 and the 32bit Quicktime encoder. This Quicktime export will Not work until the next update comes out. For now I am exporting the raw

Video disappearing in MMEP 2014 in edit and export
First of all, there is no stress as I solved this by creating a backup file. So treat this as more of a notification or oddity than anything else. In one of my projects which has mulitple different file types, framerates, and a fair amount of

RE: can you import and use Copilot into the software or plug ins/ exampleshockwave
Hi Randy, I don't know and probably not many users do know if Copilot can be used with X6. X6 is 64-bit so the plugin should be for 64-bit. I looked at the Video Copilot site and could not tell either way. I suggest that you contact

Hi In theory - yes, in practice you will probably find you have issues using the multi CPU's.  I would suspect the program will only use one of the several CPU's  as opposed to using multiple cores in a single processor. If you are trying to

Hi . . . . I shoot my photos in raw format, then export them to a folder as full size jpegs  that I then import to Photoshow Deluxe . . .  That could be exacerbating the problem - I am taking a long shot here  - Photostory is having to resize

Hi, What are you using to convert your RAW images?  What resolution do you shoot in(assume RAW).  When you do the conversion, what what changes do you allow the conversion program to do (dpi).  Which camera and lens do you use to shoot the

How did you "create" the original of the video you wanted to copy?  Did you "export" it (use MEP to create and burn the video to a DVD)?  From what you have written in the question I wonder whether you are simply burning the raw video and mvp

    RE: Convert 16:9 to 4:3
Hi . . . . One option I have looked at is to import the RAW footage, then set that file properties to 4:3, this then engages MEP to resize the project to 4:3.... off course this stretches the image. But at least I get a clean export. . . .
