RE: Aspect Ratio and Movie name problems
@clement5 Hi . . . . 4k 3D movie (stored as a side by sice AVI) . . . . Starting with a full 4k 16:9 input and trying to get a full width side by side stereoscopic output would be 2k height, but 8k width . . . . Are these are the same video clip

RE: Aspect Ratio and Movie name problems
I've just burned a DVD/ISO with my file above and a standard DV-AVI file following it on the timeline, and I get no pillarboxing or letterboxing. Could you post a link to one of your files (Google Drive or Dropbox) for us to try to replicate.

RE: Aspect Ratio and Movie name problems
@clement5 @johnebaker After more experimentation, I've found the following: Both versions incorrectly read the file as a 4:3, but MEP 2021 takes that in it's stride and displays it correctly, regardless of whether you click Movie Size or Original

RE: Aspect Ratio and Movie name problems
@clement5 @johnebaker There seems to be something odd going on here with MEP 2022 (on my other computer). MEP2021 seems to import a 720x576 5:4 video into a 4:3 movie correctly: Whereas MEP 2022 doesn't import it correctly. When "Movie Size" is

Aspect Ratio and Movie name problems
Aspect ratio handling has been changed in the 2022 version of Movie Edit Pro, with mixed results.3D is better handled now but differently than before but:1. If I have a 4k 3D movie (stored as a side by sice AVI) and I wish to ouput it after editing

RE: VPX program monitor is blank when full screen - Solved
Hi John, Thanks for the prompt reply. All the drivers are up-to-date. I started the project in Camtasia studio and decided to move it to VPX. I had to convert the TSC files and they show as AVI now. I recorded at 4K although the actual capture

RE: Movie Studio 2022 Platinum - Glich and jitter in preview and export.
@Terbow Hi and welcome to the forum . . . . video is AVI 1920x1080 @ 29.97 FPS... I don't get the problem with AVC 1920x1080 @ 50 FPS videos . . . . AVI video files are not hardware accelerated using your computers graphics card, they rely on the

Wanted: Newbie Checklist For Preparing Multiple Video Types For MEP
I've spent a while on this forum trying to figure out the errors I had in my first big export. Standard stuff...lack of sync in export, wildly differing video formats, different framerates, etc. Picked up a few things. Is there a place to find a

RE: Quick Time Movie Export (Advanced) Not Working

RE: Quick Time Movie Export (Advanced) Not Working
Hi Ray - Hi John Ray you mentioned:"Apple products became more of a status symbol, they went back to their old practices of producing new codecs and no PC support by Dropping QuickTime for Windows". Sadly I agree (although I still enjoy the 'old'

RE: MEP 2016 Plus Captured AVI Files - Codecs
Thanks Ray Thanks John "I would prefer to export as SD resolution AVI" In other words no you cannot change MEP capture settings? And that's fine by me as long as the AVI's behave well along with other 'Apple QT files' on the same timeline. And (so

RE: MEP 2016 Plus Captured AVI Files - Codecs
@CarpentersMate Hi Mike. Seasons Greetings. I think maybe because avi did not support different aspect ratios and was a Microsoft developed codec. I think you would expect that response from an Apple tech department. I would not personally worry
