RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@CubeAce @Richard-Curtis @johnebaker I just reread the initial message and I now understand that Richard just wanted to id a part of the sky with the same colour/hue. The sky colour varies a bit but not much. The trick with replacement using another

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@CubeAce Hi Ray, The question was how to identify the colour. John EB is the expert here. I suppose that once you know what it is, and the sky in Richard's photo is about RGB= 0.55=140, 0.58=148, 0.48=122, then if you know what it should actually

RE: Graphics Card
@Steve-McClelland Hi Steve. Not sure what you mean by not many. Those transitions already bought do not show up in the store content . But I have a few packs already. I'm not sure what format they would have to be in if not bought at the store but

RE: Graphics Card
@Steve-McClelland Hi Steve What is in the Store or on Producer Planet is all there is. If you have the time you can create your own, the same goes for collages if you use them, see this tutorial for transitions and this one for Collages - both apply

RE: RGB Colour Identification in Raw Clip
@Richard-Curtis Hi Richard. Is it possible to see one frame as an example? Is the sky roughly the same throughout? Does the camera move much during the clip? Have you thought of putting the same clip directly onto a track above and moving the copy

RE: Mask button in effects random behavior
@tpolakov Hi . . . . Anyone else seeing this (in MEP 2021)? . . . . I see the problem - it requires a very precise length of click to toggle the mask on/off it could be a bug, hold the mouse button down too long and it toggles back to the original

Mask button in effects random behavior
Hi, anyone else seeing weird behavior with the mask button next to an effect in the keyframing window? It is supposed to turn red if the mask is enabled - what I see is it randomly either turns red or not when clicked(most of the times it just stays

How to use masking, scaling, effects and transitions for VHS quality
I hired a freelancer to make me an intro and I'd like to learn on my own how to do these kinds of effects because I'll be doing different intros with different games I'll be playing. I'd just like someone to show me how to do these effects like this

RE: Chromakey issues 2020 version
@johnebaker @Karkes @Former user Hi all. I have never used a green screen for live video work and most of my limited use with backdrops are to do with stills photography and situations similar to shooting into a light-box but on a larger studio

RE: Chromakey issues 2020 version
@Karkes I've been using Chroma key in 2021 today, I've just tried all options & there's no prob i can see. I didn't have or know of a problem in 2020 Sometimes if a mask etc. doesn't go completely transparent it's because the colour isn't a true

@browj2 Thanks John 👍 It was one of those ones where there was a bit of trial n error adjusting masks until i got there, a very interesting task with a satisfying outcome & some new knowledge, understanding the editing/masks before in order to

@Former user Good videos! I loved the last one with the drill trick. That should keep people guessing about how this magical trick was done - and how to use masks. John CB

Hello Gid, thank-you for the video - that is what I am working. The position of the 'outline' mask is interesting to me too - it helps understanding the layers. Best regards, -Larry

Hello all, and thank-you for the many suggestions. I started by attempting the 'double'-mask with interleaved color-swatch; that colored the entire bubble with tint, and I tried several colors. After experimenting with several 'effects', I found

@Larry-Burkholder Hi @Former user is correct in one way (pun intended). The Alpha effect has 'direction' ie depending on the direction the arrow circled below is pointing either the black is transparent or white is transparent HTH John EB I

@Larry-Burkholder Glad you got the hang of it Larry. It can become the base to many varying effects once you get into it. Masks are a very powerful tool once you let your imagination go. Ray.

That fixed it! The key was moving the mask 'above' the video-clip; then, size/position, distortion, color/brightness and chroma/key tweaks. Magix and your coaching enable accessibility to enjoyable creation that I did not envision when I purchased

@Larry-Burkholder Hi Larry. This is a slightly different topic. In future could you start your own new thread. To do what you want to do you need to use a black and white mask. These can be easily made using Windows Paint as I have in the example
