RE: Error 204 (request not allowed) on burning a photo presentation. Step 5 out of 5
Hi @ Esoteric . . . . . try and install the latest CODECS FOR ALL. . . .  If you look at the error log all the videos have been prepared and rendered successfully to VOBs, the menu VOB, IFO and BUP have been produced - ie the DVD is ready

    RE: Rendering Problems
Hi John, Each video in a project is always on its own timeline. I used the VOB's out of desperation.  Nothing else was working.   I'll try deleting the HO and HDP files next time I run into this problem.... and with the current number of

    RE: Rendering Problems
Hi Kami When you say It had maybe 10 videos - do you mean ten video objects on one timeline or 10 different timelines in one project? I don't use VOBs in a project, however, I feel that it is better to be consistent with the type of video on

    RE: Rendering Problems
Follow-up.  I managed to get this project burned:  I took my backup of Video 3 and tried to render it.  Got the MEP crash message.  Then I exported to mpg-Std. DVD.  It stopped 3/4 way thru, with the MEP crash message. I reloaded the file, and

Error 204 (request not allowed) on burning a photo presentation. Step 5 out of 5
Hello everybody, This is the fifth attempt which I'm making to burn a photo presentation on a DL DVD (TDK). Every time (after approximately 2 hours -mixing and encoding) the program wants to perform step 5 out of 5, the following mistake

RE: Menus - How Can I Use A Plain Background?
Hi Sparky Wow - what a convoluted method. . . . MEP to remove the front and back fluf (plus commercials if appropriate) . . .  No problem there . . . produce an MPEG video. . .    Unnecessary step - stay in MEP, do not need to export

RE: importing a video already on my computer into my magix6 video but no sound with it
tim, First problem -- you haven't said which Magix program you are using. I'd suspect they all would deal with material from DVD's about the same way but there may be differences. The usual method is to insert the DVD and the Magix program, say

What software will convert .mxv files to .avi or .vob
I recently had a few old VHS-C tapes converted then burned to DVD. They will not open, either on my DVD player, nor on computer. I notice the file extension is .mxv. As I had not heard of this previously, I googled it to find it is a Magix format.

RE: Multi Sound track problem when importing VOB file in MEP 17 Plus
Hi Neville Are you saying that that, once dragged to the timeline, the VOB only occupies Track 1? Following on from what Jeff has suggested - if there is something occupying Track 2 - rt. click it and select "Extract Audio tracks" and see if 3

RE: Multi Sound track problem when importing VOB file in MEP 17 Plus
I don't own and have never had MEP17+ but I think there must be a way to have the audio track(s) displayed separately from the video.  If so, do you see three audio tracks, one for each language?  Can you then mute the one(s) you don't want to

Any reason why you did not originally capture the VHS footage straight into MEP?  I do this regularly and often and have never seen the problem you have! However, you say the file is VOB format, which indicates it is actually a DVD

RE: How can I get audio on imported video files?
I guess the problem is codecs. Download the program GSpot from internet (free) and examine the VOB. GSpot will tell you if a codec needed is not installed.

RE: After burning movie to DVD film jumps and staggers.
Hi,   Many possible causes so I think it's going to be a matter of methodical experiment. 1. First, establish whether the issue is in the burning or the encoding. To do this, see if it plays from the DVD folder created by MEP directly after
