RE: MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium Keeps Not Responding
Windows 10 is up to date. Considering just getting 11 if that might help. My PC is still pretty new and don't have a problem running anything else. Here's what I got. My processor:

RE: Windows Software to import Video with a Canopus ADVC110
@Jeff-Reed Jeff, glad to be of help. Analogue video capturing and editing is a bit of black art! Life is oh so simple these days with cameras capturing digital video, just transfer the file and edit away. so I hope that will be enough for video

About the version issue of the software, I do not want to go back to 18 because we will purchase some new licenses for new coworkers and I do not want to have some of them with the 18 and some of the others with the 2022... I guess I will contact

RE: Windows Software to import Video with a Canopus ADVC110
@johnebaker what sort of frame rates do you get on your exports when NV is used? You know the story of the hare and the tortoise... Except that, in this case, Ray's hare really does win the race! My system chugs along at around 5 frames per second

@Turkana Away from home, managed to connect my computer. Use the right tools for the job. No masks: Only the text was done in BT, exported as transparent avi and imported onto the timeline in VPX. John CB

RE: Windows Software to import Video with a Canopus ADVC110
Raw Captures done with a LG 990 VCR, Composite only, all captured and processed with MEP. The ADVC is DV-AVI, the others are captured in MPEG 2 at 10,000kbps. Note the very grainy/noisy ADVC ADVC with Neat video denoiser applied - chalk and

RE: Playback delay
Good day to all. There is a problem. The problem is in the playback of the AVI files. The image "jerks" ("skips", "lags") when played in VPX. AVI is still a VERY IMPORTANT component of many programs. For example, MAGIX Designer Pro X can save

I fully agree with you, ToTo23.Incomprehensible delays even on AVI files is a VERY bad topic. Windows-11 migration advice is NOT acceptable. Let us, gentlemen - developers, look at our recordings from screens, where there are terrible brakes on your

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
Hello John - Nice to see you .. "the VOB's were not FC exports ... they were not exported from the original tape, they were extracted from a DVD using wondershare ..they were older, and posted strickly for 'content critique' and convenience since I

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate Mike, To clarify a statement I made earlier about MEP's MP4 export times, I have run some export-time tests. Here are the results: Source file: 11:55 720x576 4:3 DV-AVI Encoding parameters: 720x576 4:3 MPEG-4 at Average bitrate of

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate The output MPEG-2 (in size) is greater than the MPEG-4 export but smaller than the AVI. It does appear to minimize the archive while retaining quality. OK, that's good. The other thing that has to be addressed/fixed is that "combing"

Alwyn where are you? Are you ready for a Chicken Dinner? Had a lamb roast last night and just got up! 😉 "Muxing" is short for Multiplexing, where the video stream and audio stream are joined together to form the final file. The opposite is

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
Editing in FC I rarely deal with AVI files (the captures are always QT files). With archiving/storage, as long as the Bit Rate is higher than a QT .Mov file I think the conversion will be helpful-useful (as opposed to a much larger AVI file), or a

@CarpentersMate Hi Mike. I see nothing wrong with that mpg file. Even at full screen it is quite reasonable. I don't get much useful information from the data in the jpgs though. I'm wondering if some of the conversions used the wrong parameter when

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
Hello Ray and Thank You Yes there's something wrong with the MPEG-2 Export. I think its the codec or incorrect export settings using MEP2013. I doubt its an infection (just the wrong export), or lack of ability using 2013? I'm sure that can be fixed

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
Additional Data: There's an incorrect codec/export setting regarding the MPEG-2? It won't open on the Mac. Maybe we can fix that? Beginning work in 2006, (as suspected) ALL the media was captured using the capture settings as illustrated in the

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate Mike, Re QT, yes, we're both right. The Quicktime codec (which MEP 2013 has) is an MPEG 4-type codec and is placed in the MOV container (file extension). The later MEPs do not have that option, although we can export to an Apple

Alwyn You mentioned: "QT is just a player, as far as I understand, not a file type" See screen shot: http://www.ww2survivorstories.com/QT-Export.jpg As for storing AVI files, I'd like to check the other captures to see what they really are ... You

@CarpentersMate Mike, Re the linked post, I wanted it to reiterate the point of capturing in DV-AVI, then export to MPEG 2 or 4 for distribution. I don't suggest using Movie Maker. Re your QT message with your MPEG 2 file, I did find this old post

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate Mike, I exported to MPEG 2 (as suggested), adjusted the size and frame rate in MAGIX export settings however the resulted file is not recognized by Quick Time ... I don't have an explanation for that; it could be an Apple/QT-specific
