RE: Is there a way to ourge the proxy files?
Hi VPX has a Clean-up wizard which you can run against the project - File, Clean-uo wizard. I think this will do what you want - test carefully first though. I use external hard drives for archiving all my projects and documents and use

RE: Transfer working project from desktop PC to Laptop
Roger, I've never seen anything called 'originaldescription'. Are the 26 files items part of your project? If the backup has been successful there is no special command to use it in your laptop; simply go to 'File' >> 'Open project' and

RE: Transfer working project from desktop PC to Laptop
Roger, Assuming you've a fairly recent version of MEP go to 'File' >> 'Backup copy' >> 'Copy project and media into folder...'. If you have a reasonably fast external hard drive you might try working from there on either computer.

RE: Menus - How Can I Use A Plain Background?
TheArtfulDoger, Wow! Two answers come in while I type. @John, I tried your suggestion and it changes the color of the entire background, not just the button/text area. :-( This is my contribution to the discussion (with late

RE: Brand new computer failed, left me without my 1000 free sounds
IF you bought your new computer and the MM program at the same time, I would think that MAgix will ask for some sort of verification of your difficulty and would then allow yu to download yur sounds....if, on the other hand, you had tahe MM

RE: Magix 2013 hangs up on "Initializing Soundpool" during loading screen.
Sounds like Magix is holding back some of your previous settings and locations of files and folders set up as the default locations or where you told it to find the soundpools from the first program MX. In order for you to get a clean install

Hi Dave The only thing that may interfere with copying a tape is as I said if they have a form of copyright protection on the tape itself, this is not the same as for DVD and Blu-ray discs. The old tape protection system use to interfere with

Hi This is a difficult one for two reasons:- 1. Some commercial videos had a form of copy prevention system to stop copying from VCR to VCR, whether this would affect digitisation only trying will tell. 2. Different countries

RE: projects don't load correctly - pics and videos missing
Agreeing with Terry on this one. Has happened to me a few times, myself. One thing you might try to correct this in the future is to increase the autosave option in the "Program Settings" dialogue under the "System" tab. There will be an

RE: [Closed] How do i get playback to start from the current position and not the beginning?
I think rchaney is talking about a bug that has been in MEP for years whereby a certain sequence of actions while editing creates a condition where the marker and playback always jump back to the start of the timeline, no matter where it was

Thomas, As Jeff says, projects (.MVP) files can be save to any media available to Windows including remote network drives. A much bigger issue, particularly if your computer seems unstable and is regularly crashing, is where (if ?) you are

MEP 2013: Invisible object - another example.
I suspect a serious bug here somewhere. Once again, there seems little chance of anyone reproducing it. But this is the second 2013 project in two days with this sort of problem. These illustrations hopefully explain. Or for better quality:

RE: MEP2013: Invisible track contents
Hi John, Thanks for trying but I had no expectation that this would be reproducible! I'd love to understand how it can happen though. If you find time I've used File > Backup copy > Copy project and media from the mystery 'one track'
