RE: green screen
They make special screens for this, but they can be expensive. The main thing to remember about Chroma-key is lighting. Everything must be well lit ... (the screen)as well as the subject). When I do Chroma-key sets, I use a minimum of four

RE: This Effect
Hi Anirban, It kind of depends on what you want to do with it from a motion point of view. If you want the guy running and the fire/explosion to be part of the motion, I would film the running guy on green or blue screen, use a alpha channel

RE: Chroma Key pictures with green and blue - backgrounds reappear every time upon clicking any Video Effect
I don't see the problem here when adding an effect to either the green screen image or the background. Below is preview image with whirlpool applied to my standard color test card and sand applied to the footy stars: My setup is MEP MX

RE: Stay with ProX3 or move on to Movie Edit Pro Premium 2013?
I think, if you talk to MAGIX sales, there is still an upgrade path from VPX3 to VPX4. Certainly that's how I come to be running 4; I definitely couldn't afford the "full price". As for your comment about 64-bit systems: I know such systems

RE: Mask out the back ground
Hi, That's a bit ambiguous. 1. Do you want to make a movie of a person or other 'object' that appears to show the object (usually called the 'subject' in this context) against another background, such as a desert, ocean, etc? If so search

Hi Does the transition work correctly as I posted previously? Looking at the transition - you need to use the green screen effect (in the computer monitor) to show one image and place an image on the notepad on the desk. To get what you want

RE: Help Uploading Videos to Show & Discuss
Hi George I uploaded a test movie (mp4) to the Show and discuss area and the sound was OK. The only problem I had was I chose the wrong aspect ratio (doh!) and I got 16:9 squished to 4:3 on export from MEP. I used the Flashplayer option of

RE: Colour and Black -n-White
To do this to a video you would have to edit frame-by-frame. That would be a lot of editing... which I think would be to much to do for anyone at this level. If the item in the video was centered at all times I could see using a alpha effect

RE: How To Use Green Screen
ian109, Just wondering if you've done the basics for green screen? Your image with a green background in a lower (higher number) track in MEP and the image or clip you want to see (instead of the green areas) in a lower number track above it.
