RE: MOV files play incorrectly; negative video image
@William-Harden Hi From the video clip, which appears to be showing the preview image building up to what it should look like, and assuming this is 4K video from the iPhone XS, it looks like the AMD RX490 is struggling to render the preview when

RE: MOV files play incorrectly; negative video image
Thanks for the reply browj2. Standard (2D) is properly checked on the dropdown menu. I have only seen Mov files from my iPhone affected by this anomaly. Samsung Galaxy S21, Canon and Sony camera video files do not have by this anomaly.

MOV files play incorrectly; negative video image
When using Movie Edit Pro Premium 2021 I had paid for and activated HEVC H.265 and Mov files played correctly. I Upgraded from Movie Edit Pro Premium 2021 to 2022 on my PC and after the upgrade Mov files wouldn't play correctly and looks like a

RE: Video Pro X constantly crashes or stalls
@johnebaker @Sense_Mary MP4: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC That would have been my first choice as well. If all the video clips are effected and using that setting then changing to another container format may help. If it is just that clip then John may be

RE: Video Pro X constantly crashes or stalls
@Sense_Mary Thanks for the answer. Panasonic are renowned for early take up of codecs before they become commonplace. It can be a pain when those codecs are not taken up generally. If you can change the codec in use on the camera for future video

Alwyn where are you? Are you ready for a Chicken Dinner? Had a lamb roast last night and just got up! 😉 "Muxing" is short for Multiplexing, where the video stream and audio stream are joined together to form the final file. The opposite is

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
Editing in FC I rarely deal with AVI files (the captures are always QT files). With archiving/storage, as long as the Bit Rate is higher than a QT .Mov file I think the conversion will be helpful-useful (as opposed to a much larger AVI file), or a

Hello again Ray "I see nothing wrong with that mpg file. Even at full screen it is quite reasonable" I think we solved the MPEG-2 issue? 😳 This is how the file reads and opens in the Mac - Check this out:

Hello friends .... I really appreciate all your help thank you ... I posted those VOB's for content critique ONLY - the main question/issue of 'archiving' using MPEG-2 files (as opposed to AVI) came up as result of trying to export using MEP. I'm

RE: Question about the 365 video versions
@kobe-a Hi and welcome to the user to user forums. Online versions? They are not cloud based if that is what you are thinking. Main differences are MSS 365 can import Vegas project files but not very well at present and not fully only importing the

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate Mike, Re QT, yes, we're both right. The Quicktime codec (which MEP 2013 has) is an MPEG 4-type codec and is placed in the MOV container (file extension). The later MEPs do not have that option, although we can export to an Apple

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@AAProds, @CarpentersMate Hi Alwyn, Mike Mike is correct in saying the QT is a an 'export format' and is most often seen as one of several 'flavours' - there are others as MOV is a container file. h.264/AVC encoded video which imports into MEP

RE: Capturing Mini DV: Is it possible to adjust the output file type ?
@CarpentersMate Mike, Re the linked post, I wanted it to reiterate the point of capturing in DV-AVI, then export to MPEG 2 or 4 for distribution. I don't suggest using Movie Maker. Re your QT message with your MPEG 2 file, I did find this old post

RE: Importing mov files does not add the audio component
That may be the original problem. I'm not too worried though. If more up to date mov files work I can cope with sorting the older files in other ways.
