RE: Magix Video Resolutions Incorrect?
@CubeAce If you have an OLED or quantum dot LED TV you will not see a black bar on the screen as they have 'perfect black' screens as those pixels are effectively turned off and do not rely on back screen illumination. Ray, what I was getting at was

RE: Cant edit 4k videos nicely.
@CubeAce Ray, @macarrao is using proxy files. I doubt whether VFR is an issue. In my experience, recent phones cannot be locked to a framerate, despite what the settings can be put on. The settings are only the target, with the lighting determining

RE: Fail to adjust the frame rate for blue-ray disk (BD)
@ericlnz Hi Eric . . . . .But remember bitrate is measured as bits per second. . . . . That is correct however, . . . . The image size and number of frames per second don't come into it. . . . The same bitrate used to export 25p andf 50p should

Can corrupt (?) AVI videos be repaired?
I've got a few racing downloads and find they play OK on a PC but sometimes my Laser media player or Panasonic dvd (media) player won't play it...or be it the Laser says problem with the video but only the audio can be heard. Also it can only FF at

RE: HEVC compression artifacts
@nicolesharp100 Hi . . . . Simply loading the video into Video Pro X14 and then exporting it as HEVC with the best possible settings (for a 60 MBd video) will reproduce the compression artifacts. . . . . Why are you still exporting at 60Mb/s? As

RE: "Wrong" 4:3 images should have been 16:9 to fil TV screen
@FF22 Forget this "use the entire sensor" and them crop them accordingly. I wouldn't worry about that. It is merely marketing blurb... "we made this great 4:3 sensor and you don't want to use the top and bottom? Shock horror!" they say. The fact of

RE: Magix Video Resolutions Incorrect?
@AAProds Hi Al. Video resolutions are historically based on camera sensor ratios which are generally 4:3 (As in 35mm and 70mm film stock) so 4K would be 4096x2160 of which I can set both my video cameras to capture. This gives some leeway when

RE: Burning a DVD
@Robert-Swope It’s excellent news that the original problem is now resolved so thank you for the update. To be honest I’m not surprised that the original burner was too old for the task. When you stated earlier that this was a “new” computer both

RE: Question regarding video upscaling
@jak.willis For export, I'd use the MPEG-4 menu (which will give you H.264/MP4). MP4 will be the most compatible format. Set the export up for: - 1920x1080 (should already be there for your lovie parameters) - Frame Rate 25fps - Ratio 16:9 Like

RE: Fail to adjust the frame rate for blue-ray disk (BD)
@ericlnz Hi Eric. The last analog TV transmitter was switched off in Northern Ireland in 2012. All UK television transmission is now digital. Ray. Yes it may be digital but it's still interlaced.

RE: Magix Video Resolutions Incorrect?
Sony thinks 4k is 3840 x 2160 as well: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00044504 As does virtually every other Google hit on "what is 4k". Despite that, I now see the technical difference between UHD and 4k. Which raises a question:

RE: Question regarding video upscaling
@jak.willis Hi, a video or picture image is made up of tiny dots called pixels, when you upscale an image those pixels get spread apart & would leave gaps but your software fills them in using the nearest pixels, Any upscale of a video/picture

@dirkc_be . . . . don't support - by default - the 1080i 50fps video's. . . . . The interlaced format and frame rates are 'left overs' from when the old CRT TV's and monitors which supported frame rates of 25 fps (PAL) and 29.97 fps (NTSC) were in
