@NickDerrickson Hi Did you not get a USB video converter with Rescue your Video tapes ? The manual available under Help in the program has detailed instructions on how to connect the Player or Camera and capture video. If capturing from a DV camera

    RE: HEVC compression artifacts
Hi . . . . Simply loading the video into Video Pro X14 and then exporting it as HEVC with the best possible settings (for a 60 MBd video) will reproduce the compression artifacts. . . . . Why are you still exporting at 60Mb/s? As @Marc-Goder has

RE: captured video very poor quality while playback on TV is perfect
@Ove5868 @johnebaker @CubeAce AFAICS you are doing nothing wrong, you do not see the 'wavy edges' on a TV playing 'analog' video because there is up to 5% of the image being cropped from the sides -  If you look closely, you will see that any "edge"

Hi Ray Yes I do remember those 'transitions', I have used some of the old TV transitions in a spoof advert I did a few years ago. @johny_lovin_it Hi Most of the animations etc in the article you linked to can be emulated in MEP/VPX. Here is a quick

V5 of Neat Video has a number of additional functions including intensity leveling. V4 as I recall introduced spot removal, but as I say it removes fast moving objects too often. In one frame of a pioneer lady chopping wood the Ax handle and all

RE: Fail to adjust the frame rate for blue-ray disk (BD)
@ericlnz But remember bitrate is measured as bits per second. The image size and number of frames per second don't come into it. That wasn't my point. My point was that that same bitrate is now spread over double the number of frames, which would

@Dave-Benziger Dave, I assume that you have recorded some video on your camera and are trying to get it into MEP to edit. If that is the case, I make the following comments. Your camera is basically a computer disk. It records it's videos into

@Dave-Benziger Hi Dave and welcome. As John and Jeff says, a lot of cameras will only ever show up as a 'mass storage device'. However some cameras can be accessed to record from using two or more free programs. I use DigiCamControl to capture a

@AAProds Hi Al. In the UK isopropyl alcohol is never sold as 100% proof as unless the container is glass, (as used to be sold to the film industry) some container material can leach into the fluid over time. When I had to work with isopropyl alcohol

Blu-ray burned with MEP-13 does not play on new Blu-ray players
I burned Blu-Ray discs of an adventure using MEP13. At the time, I checked that the discs would play on my two Bluray players (BR/DVD player and PS-2 or 3(?) both connected to my TV) before I sent them to my family. A few days ago I check that disc.
