    RE: video layers not behaving
Hi, I don't think I've understood that confidently enough to attempt reproducing it with your object sizes. Make a small project exhibiting the problem and (assuming you have the facility in your unspecified version of MEP) use File > Backup

    video layers not behaving
I have three layers of stills that I want to use to produce a moving image; the back layer is a starfield, the mid-layer is a debris field and the front layer is a driver in a vehicle. You can see through the window - I made the window white, set

RE: How do I change background color on a simple text layer?
Emily, As Terry just said, his method is using standard Magix tools. I think you are asking '...directly within the Title dialog window.' which is not possible because of the way MEP titling works: Titles, as they appear on the timeline, are

    RE: JPG pictures fade away
Hi There is no need to open the mixer to fade down the picture track as you can do this directly in the timeline by dragging down the handle in the middle of the picture track clip just as though you were dragging down the volume handle. But

    RE: JPG pictures fade away
Thank you for the answer´s. I have first pic at track one, then second at track two, third at track three. But still, as the second picture fade up is full done, the first track first pic fades away.  Its like it does crossfade,

    RE: Better comic word balloon?
FriendlyFloyd, Entirely possible, but with some complications depending on whether you want a custom text ballonn (or any other overlay FX) to be available with one click from an effects menu or not. Everything there is controlled by a .ini file

    RE: Title Effects
Anirban, I'd say the effect is probably done with a third party plug-in such as NewBlueFX or proDAD which come bundled with some 'Premium' version of MEP. See: http://www.magix.com/au/movie-edit-pro/premium/functions/ . Some of these programs

RE: Hello Everyone, how do you blur out the side or backgroud, and still maintain a good view of the key talent in front thats on film already?
Charlie, One way is to use an 'alpha effect' mask. You make a stack of three tracks (I'm ignoring any audio here): your video clip a B&W image of say a circle or oval with 'Effects' tab >> 'Video effects' >> 'Chroma key'

RE: Border / frame around the video clip
shubert, Two say I can think of: If you want to keep all the video image then use 'Effects' tab >> 'Movement effects. >> 'Size/position and slightly reduce the area. You would then put a background in a higher track (lower number)

RE: Is it possible to do a "freeze frame sequence" effect in MEP?
Sorry I'd not watched all the way through as the beginning instructions had a direct parallel in MEP. Their example is relatively easy as the bike rider is seen against evenly blue sky. In MEP you would again use a movement effect but this time

RE: Hey there, Is it possible to change completly the background of a video when editting and if so, How please?
I think Georg's suggestion makes an interesting effect but won't selectively remove the background. As the video level  is adjusted the clip becomes more transparent everywhere. Complete removal of a background pretty much requires planning and

RE: how do i align a series of still images and turn them into a time lapse
Hi, I would create a grid, or download one put it on a track below where the photos are, since the grid will likely have black lines on a white background you will need to use chroma key to eliminate the white so that you just have the lines.

RE: [MEP17+] Gray key image matte...
Gorg, I've not got MEP17 to check just how it does it (14Plus >> 2013Premium) but what you want is 'alpha' chroma key. Basics are a stack of three tracks: Background image on higher (lower number) track. Alpha mask -- governs

How can I get a print of a photo edited in MEP?
I imported a photo taken against a green screen into MEP 16. I then used the chroma key to eliminate the green. Now I have an image set against a black background. I like what I see in the monitor but how can I get this Image in a file that I can
