For a soundtrack you should also play with the panorama and place your noises, sounds... etc. exactly where you want the audience to hear (feel) them... use stereoprocessor to do so... Need some more horror sounds... send message...

How to cut a video and keep audio in time?

Mark your video by clicking in it (video and audio gets red) and click the Broken Chain symbol (Ungroup) or Ctrl+M. Now you can Delete the soundtrack. Or drag the rectangle in the middle of the sound track (volume) down to the base line.

In other Magix programs (MEP) we have Group and Ungroup to lock or unlock parts of a project, by a chain closed/broken. I hope you also can Group your video and soundtrack. Good luck !
