  It could be that you do not have the correct codec for the mp4 files, or maybe the Movie Edit Pro 14 does not recognize that format.   Where did the mp4 you have come from?

  I do not think that Movie Edit Pro 14 is compatibile with Windows 7.   You can try this though... insert the disc for Movie Edit Pro 14 in the computer and close anything that auto-opens. You then will go to the "Start" button of windows,

  Deleting a Decoration

  It could be that the camera you have is using a codec that was not available at the time of the release of that MAGIX program. I think the Video Deluxe 2008 is the same as either Movie Edit Pro 12 or 14, there was not 13... unlucky
