Thanks John, Yeah, I am running vista. Isn't there a way to tell the computer to run a program as if you have an earlier OS?

RE: magix music studio 6 - can not open the input device recording is disabled
What operating system is this new computer? I believe Music Studio 6 by Magix was only available for Windows 98 (possibly Windows 2000), but would not successfully operate in Vista or 7. There would be no patch to fix that, as the code used

RE: I am having problems updating my MAGIX movie editor, what should I do to fix the problem?
I think the problem is that the Movie Edit Pro 11 was not released for Vista. Magix Movie Edit Pro 11 was released in 2006. Microsoft Windows Vista was released in 2009. By the time Vista was released I think Magix was on Movie Edit Pro 14.

It is strange you do not have BAK file. As you have already done work at your end, about crash folder I use Windows Vista Home Premium and the Crash folder is at C: Local Disk Program Data (Hidden Files) Magix/Magix Music Maker 16

I am having problems updating my MAGIX movie editor, what should I do to fix the problem?
My MAGIX movie editor will not update properly. It downloads the update, then says it recognizes it, then opens the install program and says "Loading... Please wait..." and never gets any further than that. I am using windows vista on my system.

RE: i have music maker 2007
Hi there, I'm afraid Music Maker 2007 is a few years old and was never really designed for Windows 7. I think it would be barely compatible with Vista. You might want to try running the installation and program in Windows XP compatibility

Though I do not use MEP but I guess you have to check or do something to solve your problem. 1. If MEP was bad it would have not worked properly even before installing Adobe CS5 right it means some thing went wrong some where some how. 2.
