RE: [Closed] DVD won't play on DVD player
Hi, This has been gone over a lot here, a search of previous posts might help. Many DVD players do not play burned DVDs well - other don't like certain formats. It's best to experiment with DVD+R, -R and etc. Avoid using the RW as they rarely

    [Closed] 10 hours per chapter
I put together a 1 hour video and it is taking 80 hours to mix and burn an 8 chapter video.  What am I doing wrong?  It is also over 5GB and would have to be put onto 2 DVD-R(s).  What have I misconfigured or is that typical?

RE: Won't play on my home DVD player?
The first thing to check is to see if your home DVD player supports DVD+ or DVD-.  All DVDs are either DVD+R or DVD-R (I have no idea what the difference is).  This is different than the professionally produced DVDs you purchase.  Older DVD players

What kind of data is on the DVD-R? Is that a standard video DVD (e.g. recorded by a DVD camera)? Or is this an AVCHD camera that records to DVD? It always boils down to import the correct files from the medium into Movie Edit Pro. On a video DVD,

Hi there, What you read about the outer areas of the DVD being more susceptible to writing/reading errors is generally true and does have practical relevance. However, on a fully functional DVD burner, you should be able to properly write an

RE: why does my dvd movie work in some dvd players and not in others?
Hi, This is the unfortunate nature of DVD manufactures. Many are unable to read a burned DVD - others are finicky about the disk type. I've had the best luck with DVD +R but experiment with different types. Make sure you have a good burner too.

Hi again, Thanks for further clarifying this. Based on your additions, this essentially means that you're not authoring a standard-compliant video DVD. You're just burning some kind of data disc that has your individual image and video clip files

RE: DVD won't play on some DVD players
While ralftaro certainly gave a good answer it's worth noting that some DVD players just wont accept burned DVDs. This is especially true of older players. Your issue might just be a finicky player. Try experimenting with DVD +R (+r) and DVD -R

DVD won't play on some DVD players
DVDs from DVD7  play on some DVD players but not on others. How can I burn them to play on all DVD players? I burned at both x2 and x1 speeds. After burning on TDK DVD-R discs the window states "burning successful."  I use a Gateway laptop computer.
