  I was thinking steps #1 and #2 then #4 and #5. I don't have any "movies" though, they are "projects" or at least that is how the program saved them. Again, I do not know what a "movie" is. I used to know, but that was back in the 60s and before MS.

  Sorry for the insanely stupid question but I want to overlay a red box with text OVER a video for a warning. I created a transparent PNG file and dropped it on a track(3) where it needs to go. I would expect it to overlay the base video on track 1.
