RE: why do I get an error message every time I burn toa dvd?
Hi. As I said before we are all users so, unfortunately, the error log is not easily understandable. However, it appears to suggest that the actual DVD files are being successfully created (mention of .VOB file). Has this/these been stored

RE: I cannot burn a dvd. Encoding errors
Years ago I gave up trying to burn my DVDs from MEP, as it failed so often. Usually at the very end, like your example. Occasional tests show no improvement in MEP17+. I suspect (it's just a guess based on glancing through the log above and

Hi Use Wndows Explorer to browse the DVD select the files need - see my reply in this post and copy to your hard drive into your project folder. Then in MEP drag the VOB or converted VRO to the timeline and edit as required. John

Hi Transferring from tape to DVD using a combi recorder was what I suspected. It looks like from your initial post you are then recording twice - the second time from DVD into MEP. Once you have the DVD in the computer it is only

RE: One more wish list item for MEP 18
I don't have/use MEP 17 Plus (my last version is 15 Plus, I now use Video Pro X) but I'm pretty sure all versions create a folder containing the .vob and .ts files in addition to creating the .iso image (which is actually only a .zip

You may need to register the encoders under the drop down menu help. Magix only makes the software, not the encoders so each need to be registered independently with their manufacture. VOB will probably need the MPEG-2 MOV could need the

RE: video _ts file
From my experience VIDEO_TS is a folder not a file. You want to import the .vob files into MEP. You can bring more than one and attach them to one timeline. I just finished a projected where I had a few corrupted .vob files that I could not

RE: video _ts file
Hi If I read your problem correctly then you need to load only the .vob files into MEP. The VOB files are the movie files, and there may be more than one, the BUP and IFO files are data files about the movie and do not contain any

Maybe I've misunderstood? "I would like to backup some iso disc images..." So do you already have these as .ISO files? If so why can't you just copy them with Explorer in the usual way? If not, and they are still DVD folders (containing IFO, BUP

RE: Why don't most of the transitions work properly
OK, so the MPEG file export is fine, that means that the MPEG encoding only fails when burning to DVD, strange... In order to make your DVD now, you need to start a whole new project and import the MPEG file you exported earlier into that new

RE: No sound when videos imported
Vob's what you need. Try playing the VOB file in Windows Media Player, to see if the sound is ok/accessible in the transferred file. You would need a firewire lead to transfer from your camera directly into the program, but if the VOB file plays
