  Sad that people aren't actually reading your posts. Graham is the only one who actually did. Yes, instruments are usable commercially. The default MIDI arrangements that come with them are not, but if you design your own patterns they are.

  after you create a midi track and insert a soft synth (we'll assume Kontakt) do you see Kontakt? if not go to "View' and click on "Soft Synth Properties' you should then be able to see 'Kontakt', then choose whatever instrument you want in Kontakt.
