RE: MEP 2016 burning HD DVD
Hi Just to clarify/add to my post - burning Blu-Ray or AVCHD can be done on to a DVD disc providing the movie is no longer than 25 - 30 mins. If longer than that you must use a BD disc - your burner needs to support BD burning. HTH John EB

RE: MEP 2016 burning HD DVD
Just to add to all the information you've been given, and to slightly alter something that John CB (browj2) wrote: DVD output, unless you burn AVCHD on a DVD, is always Standard Definition. This fact, which catches out a lot of people, is part of

RE: Why doesn't the HVEC work?
Scenestealer, I've reset everything, several times. Using both default and MC encoding. Restarted the computer and even reset the entire software to default. Nothing has worked. However, I did do a test with an AVCHD clip, and was able to get an

Hi @mak . . . . . I just realized that you cannot import an video captured with HEVC intel quick sync . . . . Please read the OP's post again - the OP cannot export HEVC. @mojoaudioguru . . . . no success in relieving those 10-14 hour AVCHD / BDR

RE: Why doesn't the HVEC work?
Mak, I'm not employing the Intel Quick-Sync feature. As this was a custom hand-built computer, (8 years ago), I used a Gigabyte 775 mobo, with a Q9550. (Overclocked at 3.51) 16 gig of DDR2 RAM, two 1TB SSD drives, with a then, older GPU. At that

RE: Why doesn't the HVEC work?
I don't have any HEVC clips to play in the timeline. Just the raw AVCHD footage from my Panasonic cameras. I completed an edit, that contained 4 cameras. (And, an elaborate 5.1 Dolby surround audio track) I wanted to export the completed video in

RE: Video clips "stuttering"
Hi It is not only Win 10 compatibility, but also HD compatibility despite the name 16 Plus HD. It was pretty early in the piece and it was designed around DV and HDV which are much less compressed Codecs. I think proper AVCHD compatibility only

Hi . . . . Not sure why my options are different. . . . . You are not the only one - this difference was introduced with VPX5, and is not in VPX 8. I cannot check VPX 7 due to not having installed it when it was released, also VPX 5 is no longer

Hi After you have selected the disc burn, in the burning window which opens, select the encoder settings button, in the AVCHD Export Window, at the top select a preset from the list that drops down, for AVCHD 1920x1080 24p. You will need to try it

RE: Burning Uncompressed Video to Blu-Ray
Hi It is also possible to burn Blu-Ray as MPEG2 (HD) by choosing that option on the Burn window instead of AVCHD. This is a less compressed HD format that creates files approx 50% higher bitrate and (of course) size on the default settings compared

RE: Burning Uncompressed Video to Blu-Ray
Hi . . . . Is there any way to burn uncompressed HD video on to Blu-Ray or on to a USB flash drive . . . If you do, you are looking at file sizes of 300GB to 400+ GB per hour of video. Blu-ray (AVCHD) is highly compressed - BD disc size is 25GB and
