  Well, to be very specific I'm using a left file stream and a right file stream, generated from 3DS Max (to be paired as stereo subclip). Again, I don't see any way to import a sequence of still images as a video, which is easy to do in Vegas Pro.

  Thanks, but it's not a video file I want to import. It's a file stream, that needs to be imported as a video SEQUENCE (in the VEGAS PRO import media you can choose STILLS: OPEN SEQUENCE).
