I am using .mts files from my Canon camcorder. My project is Dallas win.MVP. I have no idea where the .vob is coming from or what kind of a file that is. Not familiar with .VOB I don't see a REPLY or POST tab anywhere

A 16:9 should have been 4:3. Does this mean, that the film is stretched sideways to fill the screen? Without having any black border? Try this: Drag the VOB to timeline, go to Object properties (Ctrl+E) and set Aspect Ratio to 4:3. Perhaps

Update: Today Magix Tech Support contacted me and acknowledged there is a problem with US NTSC audio out of sync after burn or export. Bob (From Magix) did say that the Magix staff is working on a patch to correct this problem. They are

Well I tried creating an Mpg4 file of the full video containing all the VOB's and then using the one large contiguous WAV file I previously created. The result was the same. The movie is OK reviewing within the editor but progressivly goes out of

What do you mean by load a dvd-r? You must copy the VOB-files in the VIDEO_TS directory to your harddisk before editing.

JATG, Are you doing your burn from the 'Burn screen' (where you create DVD menues etc), or from the 'File' >> 'Burn CD/DVD' drop down menu? If I use the flaming disc burn icon on the burn screen, the only way I can get wmv ouput

Can`t Import of VOB folders and files ?
I can not import VOB folders or files. I have tried to import from several DVD and from folders on my hard drive, but the program do not recognize the files as a videofile, and therefore it does not open it. I am running Movie Edit Pro on

A normal DVD (small or normal) contains a folder VIDEO_TS, where you will find one or more files with endings .VOB. Copy them to your harddisk. Then in MEP go to Import and find them to the right of the screen and drag them down to the Timeline

You should be able to copy the VOB to the MAGIX software to burn again...meaning import the file from the original disc directly into the MAGIX software, save it for later use, then burn it to DVD.

I cannot burn my slide show , "menu encoding failed" I tried all options available but nothing works

That has me stumped... unless that first vob contains some proprietary information that the other vob files do not.
