  Hi  'Down grading' HD to standard DVD is not normally a problem.   Taking the symptoms you describe one by one: 1.  The rolling suggests the projector TV cannot lock on to the frame sync - check you have the frame rate set to std NTSC

  why would the video play back slower than the audio when editing and in the exported mov? the original file from fuji w3 3d camera is fine, but in mep17plus, the playback is wrong. any ideas?

  Go to help->Online Update and install thew latest patch.   You should be running version 10.0.11.0.   The sound sync problems are fixed now.

  video and sound are out of sync in burned disk

  Hi there again. I did some more digging and followed advice given in this forum which seems to work very well.  Right Click on the video clip and select "create frame table (new)".  This then syncs the audio and video perfectly.

  Hi Right click each of the video clips and select  Create (new) frametable , If this fails to fix the sync problem, close MEP, locate the folder where the video clips are - back this folder up to somewhere else - so you can copy the files
