RE: Xara Photo & Graphics Designers 11 out - still does not work properly with MEP
Xara Designer Pro X11 is now out and I have been trying out the registered trial version, 64bit. After some teething problems, like DPX11 would not open from MEP2015 Premium, it now does. It seems that a test with MEP2014Plus adjusted something

RE: Applying Lower Thirds In Movie Edit Pro 2015
Hi All MEP doesn't support alpha channel video, unfortunately, only images. Not so! MEP has always worked with a 32bit RGBA (A=Alpha channel) AVI dropped on the track below the video, without having to apply any further Alpha

RE: Transparent Button?
Hi, I just tried this with a png that I created in Xara and exported, true color&alpha, transparent. It was the first frame in the movie and was thus used for the button. In the Burn menu, to get the background black, I clicked on my image,

Hi, It seems to me that your PNG is not transparent. What program did you use to make it? What does it look like in various image viewers or editors? Also, can you provide full details of how you're adding and editing the button in MEP

RE: Applying Lower Thirds In Movie Edit Pro 2015
Hi @ jdycus Apologies for being pedantic however in posting the lower thirds video file to Vimeo it has been converted and the Alpha channel lost so we are not testing like for like. Fortunately in this case the background, as I suspected

@Terry, That's brilliant! I played with this a bit. I followed what you did, then dragged them onto track 2 and placed a video on track 1. I used a black image. Then I gave the black image a chromakey Black, which made it transparent. The
