RE: How can I shrink my actor (make tiny) and still have the regular footage in the background?
You can do that in Movie Edit Pro That would be using the "Size/Position" set under the 'Movement Effects' in the Effects Tab. You would also use the "Chroma-Key" effect. Use the Time-Line mode Background in track one (for you that

RE: how do I use chroma keying?
Chroma-key is a feature that allows you to set a color/color range to be transparent for a background image or video to display through. First thing you need to understand is how the tracks are arranged in the program. For Movie Edit Pro,

RE: How to chroma key with colors other than green, blue or white in Magix Video Pro X3
Shubert, Having selected your object, use the 'Color' mode (Not Stamp or Mix) in the Chroma key window. The cursor in the previe window changes to a little eye dropper and cross hairs and you can drag out a rectangle across the color to be

RE: How to make an bottom-corner ad with characters in MEP?
I have Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus, which I feel would be better for this as it has a easy to use key frame section. I am sure this can be done in Movie Edit Pro 15, but it would be more time consuming, and I stopped using it because I have the newest

1bib, I'm particularly fond of 'alpha channel' effects -- not a specific pre-sets but DIY experimenting with sometimes surrealistic imagery. An example, ignoring the audio tracks: Track 1 - Man dreaming Track 2 - Alpha

RE: How do I get rid of the coloured fringe around the forground when chroma keying video and photographs in my studio?
Dear deaw, the first step would be to seperate the object from the background while shooting - make sure the distance between the object and the background is big enough so no reflected "green" light spills onto the object. Make sure

How do I get rid of the coloured fringe around the forground when chroma keying video and photographs in my studio?
I have trialed dedicated chroma key software which gives a perfect key but I would rather use my Magix Edit Pro 16 Plus HD and not have to purchase this other software. Suggestions please.

RE: import DAT file not available in magix movie edit pro 17
Joosten, Never had a *.dat file so only guessing... Wiki article on video file formats says "MPEG-1 is found in a .DAT file on a video CD". There is a chance simply renaming your *.dat to *.mpg might do the trick. As to program

RE: movie edit pro 17 plus - does anyone know how to do this? or page on the manual.
wick1366, Sorry I don't have MEP17+ to directly answer your question, but I've been doing selective area effects since MEP 14 or earlier. The set up is a set of three tracks (ignoring audio): original clip, clip with effects

RE: Anyone using chroma keying with a blue screen with Movie Edit Pro 17 HD??
I use the chroma-key a lot, and I can tell you lighting makes all the difference. Shadows cause problems as well as bright spots, so the screen needs to have illumination as well as the subject being recorded. I have two lights just on

TvMan, A couple of suggestions, depending on exactly what you want your final video to look like: Simplest would be to film yourself twice (camera on a steady tripod!) against a static background, say a brick wall for an easy test,

Depends on your program version... In MEP 14+ there is a 'Mix' effect available on the realtime video effects window [Shift +Y]. This adds the two objects so the overall effects is probably too bright. You can then adjust you
