RE: I have a video of a book and am trying to overlay another video of a photo that comes to life and have it grow to full screen/
acraswwell, I think you must have set up a key frame animation where the amount of zoom varies with time. Search under 'keyframe' in the help file for a full description. The current effects should be listed along the bottom of each

I am using PhotoStory CD and DVD 10 Delux on a new PC with Windows 7.  I am able to drop videos into the storyline but only 8 to 15 second of the opening frames or sometimes longer sound  tracts without video.  Am I doing sometihing wrong or is

RE: How do you get sharp text in MEP15 Pro when zooming past the text?
Hi, You can do it in several ways. Staying with the basic approach you're using, there are several points, but the key one is the first: 1. Set your text font to a large value. (I used Arial Black size 100 in the demo below.) 2. Carefully

RE: I have the newest version of Magix Movie edit pro premiere mx, I bought some newbluefx addons, but need help on how to use the keyframes in the plugin
Hi Correction to my previous response (bad memory). The key frames are generated when you click one of the effects to apply. Move the slider (1) to the position where you want a keyframe. Click one of the effects (2) a keyframe will be

RE: what's the best way to get the ken burns effect in magix?
Having tried to follow the tutorial I seem to have got a bit confused with the steps and can't seem to duplicate what you've done. It may be because I have a lower version (16) of the software. If you get a chance it would be great to

Fantastic work thanks! I shall give it a go when I get home. I have version 16 but I assume most of the things are fairly similar. I'm quite new to some of the terminology like "key frames" so I need to do a bit of background reading. Anyway

RE: what's the best way to get the ken burns effect in magix?
Hi, MEP can create Ken Burns effects very well. Learning how to do it in early versions, (MEP11 onwards) took me a long time! I'd start by reading up on using KFA (Key Frame Animation). For Ken Burns you'd apply KFA mainly via the Effects >

RE: Too heavy video clips for Magix?
RSuonio, I'll add my two cents worth... MEP 11 is quite old! -- newer versions (now up to 'MX' ~ v18) are much better at dealing with HD material. Smooth playback is a function of several factors which usually work against each other.

Timeline mode - extending a clip
You've topped and tailed all your clips, and got them all lined up in ready to review. In doing so you note that perhaps you need a few more frames added back in where you've been a bit keen trimming the material. How do you do this? No

RE: Movie Edit Pro 18 Plus suggestions
I think this is a bug  The new speed effect can give some great results, but... The added frames are not what I'd call true 'intermediates' but rather cross fades. Being able to set key frame for smoother speed changes is a definite

RE: Creating high quality / HD MP4 from a 50 FPS source using Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus HD
Hi, from your description and my own experience with trying to export mp4 at 50p I guess that your exported video is in fact only 25p. You should check that with an analysing tool like MediaInfo. From my experience the mp4 codec that comes with

stonera57,   Like j-a, I've never had any problem with images in any version of MEP. Sometime a video clip has a few blank frames at the start but a still (other than an animated gif) should be constant.   A couple of

Your screen shot looks like a pretty normal layout in 'Storyboard' mode (its icon highlighted in blue between your clip thumbnail and the preview screen). There you can add transitions to other clips etc, titles, but not much else IIRC.   Two

RE: How to make an bottom-corner ad with characters in MEP?
I have Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus, which I feel would be better for this as it has a easy to use key frame section. I am sure this can be done in Movie Edit Pro 15, but it would be more time consuming, and I stopped using it because I have the newest

RE: Stop Motion movie on MEP 17?
alyssamy,   Without seeing your results it's hard to say, but a possibility is that non-smoothness is a consequence of how you took your photographs. Two factors top the list: If you didn't use a tripod the backgrounds will be unsteady.

Seamus,   Much easier key frame animation, better handling of newer HD codecs, more flexible DVD menu building, etc. There was a comparison chart (maybe only 16 vs 17?) on the Magix site but I cn't find it now. I think it's a very much
