RE: The file format of *** can not be opened my magix movie editor pro 14
Hi, Do you really mean MEP 14? Or MEP 2014? And what OS? Anyway, in either case, first thing I'd try is File > Settings > Reset program settings to default... Or close MEP, locate your INI file and delete or rename it and then restart

RE: Delete empty tracks? MEP 2014 Premium
Hi, Both yvon-robert, and Carl are absolutely correct.  The question I have is why you want to delete tracks.  I can understand wanting to delete the content of a track (which is a different question), but since empty tracks have no impact

RE: Why does the text cut off when watching the slideshow on tv?
Hi Abbie,   Yes, you've found the cause, TV 'overscan'. Used to be understandable in the olden days with CRT TVs, but I'm darned if I know why the technology still doesn't let me use 100% of my flat, LED widescreen. I'm not sure what setting

MEP 2014 Plus Cannot Encode a Bluray to Hard Drive
Tried 3 nights in a row to encode my movie to bluray format onto hard drive with no luck.  I never had a problem in MEP 2013.  After 14 hours, I would come back to the PC with it still saying "Initializing program layout" in status bar at bottom

RE: MEP14 Premium. Burning aborted. Could not create temporary file. Memory error.
Hi I presume you mean MEP2014 there is an older version which is abbreviated to MEP14.  Please use MEP 2014 in future posts if this is correct. Are you running MEP2014 on a MAC using Bootcamp? If so that is the problem which, AFAIK there is

Afternoon John! If I ever knew, I've forgotten your location? What's the time zone difference with GMT? (Add 1 for MAGIX time, of course.) it's about 2.20 pm (14:20) here. I've now discovered that this Dropbox issue arises from the radical

Hi, I read perfectly mp4 file from Samsung tablet using MEP version 17 plus probably your version 14 cannot handle or you lack a codec. My file is 1280 x 720 high definition (light) and transfered to computer using a USB key alsi I can

RE: Is there a way to read MP4 files in Movie Edit Pro14?
Hi, It may be that you have not purchased or activated the MP4 codec, or it may just be a problem with the the Android OS.  Movie Edit Pro version 14 is definitely not compatible with the Android OS and since you did not say if you are importing

Hi . . . . I didn't abort the burning process, the program did. . .  Thanks for clearing that issue, the confusion arose because this was not stated in the post and it was assumed that the error message was a result of you cancelling the write

"The error message has nothing to do with navigating the menus - it appears because you have aborted the final stage of the burn process ie the writing of the files to DVD." I didn't abort the burning process, the program did - it stopped while

John, I've managed to use the work-around by keeping the DVD-R tray empty. It creates the BDMV folder for AVCHD/BD, and the .VOB and .IFO files (without the VIDEO_TS folder) in the Disc Image location so that's fine. After rendering it requests a

Thanks guys. I did a test burn of a small (less than 4.5GB) AVCHD project to see if it works, written to a DVD-RW disc. I did find the BDMV folder where it belonged, in the Disc_Image folder, but no .ISO file, just the folder & contents as

Hi . . . . Thanks, but I don't have that "Disc Image" option show up in my pull-down menu under Burner: . . .  Can you confirm which version of Movie Edit Pro you have - and is it the Basic, Plus or Premium version? Which version of Windows

RE: MEP17+ How do I do a gaussian blur?
Gorf, Not much in MEP17+ other than 'Sharpness' which can go a bit less. You might be able to use a plugin like VIrtualDub (free) which has quite a collection of filters. Check also Pixelan ProBlur http://www.pixelan.com/ce/features-bp.htm.

RE: Why does MEP14 Pro no longer play or render MPEG-4 files correctly, after installing the most recent Nov. 2013 update?
Let me correct myself, it's not that it doesn't play, (Not due to muting), it does play.  But very choppy. Audio dropping in and out during playback. It also renders the project the same way. Only on MPEG4 audio files. Wave files are played back
