  I don't know if you got round to solving this but I have a copy of Magix Music Studio 2004 which will open msp files. You need to install it on the older Windows machine you have! Or you can try installing it in compatibility mode and pray you don't

    You'll be blown away by the performance jump you'll get. My productivity has gone through the roof with the quick rendering. Editing is now my main focus, not stressing about how to get a movie rendered while not hogging the machine for hours
