    RE: Midistart Keyboard reaction problem
Hi, Despite it saying you don't need drivers almost always you do for these. This has been brought up here before. Get the driver and then make sure it's set as the primary MIDI device in your Windows control panel sound applet. In fact, check

    RE: [Closed] record midi
Thanks Justin. Yes I am recording onto midi track and the little green light flahes Midi In on the dongle but nothing for Out. What should I set my Playback device as please? I'm totally confused about synths, VST etc! The hammer is at halfway

    RE: [Closed] record midi
Hi Jackie, If Samplitude recognised it then it appears to be installed correctly. Are you trying to record to an audio track or have you set Samplitude to record MIDI? If you're trying to record to a regular track then it won't work. Let me

RE: VST Plug-ins not showing up?
Hi, A few things here - I would NOT add .vst to the Vintage folder, keep them separated so you can move, modify or delete the .vst that you add. Simply create a folder called plug-ins or something and place all your DLLs there. Second, simply

    RE: Midistart Keyboard reaction problem
Just a few words in addition to what Justin said: What you described is perfectly OK behavior. The notifier that comes up does in fact inform you about the successful detection of the device. Under Windows XP this should be plug & play. So,

    RE: Two questions
I'm a Pro Tools user and I highly recommend it. I've used many programs and nothing beats Pro Tools - that's why it's the industry standard that studios use. Justin

RE: guitar sound in demo but not in sound pool
Hi, It may not be in any of the sound pools. You can browse to the directory that the demo is in on your hard drive and use any of the sounds found there. A word of caution though - the demo song sounds are usually not available as royalty free

    RE: Midistart Keyboard reaction problem
Hi, The problem is that you do need drivers - ProTools (which is what I use) does not care if it's USB or standard 5-pin MIDI. Hua Xing is really what your keyboard is (it's the chipset) and you need the driver for it. A quick search on

    RE: Two questions
    1.  No it's not a true DAW so MIDI controllers will not work - only MIDI instruments. 2. Your M-Audio will not work as a MIDI controller because you can't use them with Music Maker. You can however use your M-Audio as a standard MIDI keyboard but

RE: how do you use single sounds and compose your own loops?
Hi, Creating you own loops can be done several ways depending on if you're using samples or MIDI sequencing - Beatbox or etc. I suggest reading the manual for some ideas there. As far as importing a song, make sure it's in a format Magix

    RE: magix
Hi, It sounds like you either have a lack of memory or Magix is interacting with your sound card incorrectly. Go into program settings and change the driver to ASIO, make sure you have the latest sound and video driver from your manufactures

    RE: [Closed] Midi Controller Problems
Hi, With Samplitude you must "arm" each track to record and you must specify what device to record. Make sure your track is set for midi and armed for midi input. Justin

    RE: Singing Songs
Procyon nailed it... I suspect once you fix the crackle problem you will solve your latency as well. Seems like you might have got a bum sound card with this computer - try the free ASIO drivers mentioned or consider getting a good recording

RE: [Closed] some instruments keep shorting out
I agree with Ralftaro... also make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound and video cards. Your video card can cause many audio problems if it's trying to redraw the screen while you're recording. You need fresh divers and plenty

RE: How to take music from Magix14 to MP3 player
Hi, The easiest is to export as .mp3 and then transfer to your player. Unless of course you didn't pay for their crap .mp3 encoder option (and only get 10 tries).... which I hope you didn't! Then you can export as .wav (for FREE) open it in

    RE: Song Remix?
Hi, You can edit certain sections of a song by placing your start marker, selecting your track and pressing T on the key board to "cut it out" of the original. From there you can make changes to that section only. If you're hoping to edit parts

    RE: Presonus Firepod Recording help!
Hi, First... Samplitude and Cubase can both record simultaneous tracks. You have to tell the software what input each track is recording. IE Track 1 is assigned to channel 1 on your device and etc. With your presonus you can have eight pre-amp

    RE: Join two audioblocks?
Hi, The easiest is to simply group them. Select both sections at once and choose group. You can merge them into a single .wav again but it's simpler to just group them together. Justin

RE: How can I take out just a little piece of a vocal leading into the next verse? I have tried dragging it but it is either too long or too short.
Hi, The best way to edit audio is to zoom way in so the little problem section fills the whole screen. Then find the very beginning of what you want removed, place the start maker line right there by clicking in the ruler bar and then press T on

Hi, You didn't save in those 5 hours? Always save after every change. Magix builds in auto back-up and recover in their newer products. You should be able to recover your project. Justin

RE: Do you have software for multichaneel recordings?
Samplitude... or you can just break down and buy a proper ProTools system... you seem particularly proud of the gear you listed... why add a $40.00 front end to it? Unfortunately Magix has not come into the Pro audio arena yet and is simply not
