video de-sync and jittering
I'm having a really strange problem that came after updating the software. It's hard to describe, but I'll do my best to run through what happens. I start by opening Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium 2021 (side note, I run a Windows 10 64-bit system),

RE: Picture blurred when video camera facing downward
@peter-senn Hi This sounds like the image stabilisation on the cameras cannot determine where it is supposed to be when pointing down and hunts causing the lens to 'jitter' as it cannot sense any X-Y motion that occurs when correctly orientated and

RE: Hard drive setup suggestions for PC editing
@1940 How long are your videos? On average mine are between 3 to 20 minutes. I ask because I'm editing 4K footage, sometimes with four streams running parallel to each other from a USB 2 input using WD My Passport drives to read from. Projects are

@Scenestealer @browj2 Even if I play back something after rendering in the timeline, if the graphics are complex enough, I find it still jitters a lot. Even while using the scroll wheel, while the background clip may appear to be running as

Acid Music Studio 10 Jittering / Skipping when Playing Solution?
Hi Everyone,Not sure if this has been posted already, but I did a search and I couldn’t find it on here. I did find it on Google search though although I was unsuccessful with their solutions so I thought I would go straight to the Creator itself.

RE: Decompressing gopro footage
@Kaywahjay You say that you are trying to watch your videos using MEP? Did you export from MEP to MP4 and watch that? MEP is not a viewing program, it's an editing program. Videos on YT are the finished product, not a bunch of video clips imported

@johnebaker @emmrecs @browj2 Thank you all for your input. I was hoping more people had more to add but maybe it just shows how good MEP is at meeting most of our demands. One area I was hoping to get additional information on was colour grading. I

RE: "Film Grain" effect (in Movie Edit Pro)..?
Hi, You didn't say which version of MEP you have, but all since at least 2014 should have an effect similar to this one: Terry, East Grinstead, UK Thanks for your inquiry - it is Version 17 (2018). The effect you speak of ("old movie") is

RE: Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
Detelecining can be done using VirtualDub2 or the older VirtualDub. The function to do it is IVTC with frame rate reduction which is done to 23.976. That number is selected automatically. This works well for properly telecined NTSC DVD or VHS videos

RE: Again the playback when it works the film is play like slow motion
If you want both to play at the same speed with less jitter you need to press the adjust button. The frame rates are quite close so that may have been the problem. If in future you record at the same frame rates if that is possible you should not

How can I avoid a jittery AVCHD playback from an MPEG-4 rendered to an AVCHD DVD?
My video camera yields 1920x1080, 60 fps MPEG-4 video files. When I reformat them to AVCHD DVDs, the playback on Blu-Ray players (I tried three different brands: Sony, Insignia, and Toshiba) has about a 3-5 Hz halting or jitter. I've tried using
