RE: How to import the video from the disk, which has chapters?
I also use MEP 14+. The Mediapool is what Magix call the 'Directory' to the right of the monitor. I usually copy such files 'by hand', as a normal Windows copy process. But I now tried 'Importing File' with Magix as you mentioned, and it also

RE: How to import the video from the disk, which has chapters?
In the VIDEO_TS- directory of your DVD are VOB-files named VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB etc. Have you copied all these to the Harddisk? Mark them all and now drag them from Mediapool down to the Timeline. They should now play in MEP.

RE: How do you cut bits & pieces out of multipule videos?
On each DVD you'll find VOB-files under VIDEO_TS. Copy them to the harddisk, and then you can find them in Mediapool and drag one by one to the timeline (MEP 14+). Or you can drag each VOB to a new Timeline. Now the movie can be cut where you want

RE: I have 8 dvds some good, bad and awful no chapters. Can I organize
I guess that your DVD's contain MPEG-files, as ordinary MPG-files or VOB-files, which also are a sort of MPG's. They are easily edited in Magix Movie Edit Pro, and as Clevo says, I will also reccomend it. Many other filetypes are also

How do I get captions on .vob files to display in Movie Edit Pro?
I have DVDs which can display optional captions on the screen. How do I turn on this option when importing .vob files into Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus so that the captions are displayed in my movie projects?

RE: Movies on DVD 7 - "Burn image again" - no dialog box appears
Hi, Not sure why this is happening. Exactly what version of the product are you currently running (check "About" box in the "Help" menu)? Just on a side note, this function to burn a disc image again doesn't pertain to the currently loaded

    DVD with AC3 audio import?
I have a DVD that has AC3 audio.  I am attempting to import it into MCE15 (by adding the VOB files).  However, the audio always says that it was imported using the MPEG module, and my other audio channels are empty.  How can I get my real audio

RE: [Closed] End of my movie skips and freezes - HELP!
Hi there, It depends on how exactly the DVD player is behaving when the problem kicks in, but from the sounds of it, I'm inclined to say this is a pure readability issue. There's a surefire way to check whether the problem is already

RE: Issues importing home videos on a DVD
Yeah, there is without a doubt a major problem with MEP15, in so far as loading DVD videos for editing.  I tried every thing I could think of and every suggestion I came across here and elsewhere to resolve this problem using just MEP15, but NO

RE: Issues importing home videos on a DVD
I do not know MEP 15, only 14+ and previous. What I do: Copy the .VOB-files from the VIDEO_TS directories to my haddisk, and give each file a new name (with ending VOB or MPG). When they all are transferred, I can start MEP, find the files in Media

Issues importing home videos on a DVD
I have Movie Edit Pro 15. I am using a Magnavox VHS-DVD copy machine I recently purchased to convert a bunch of VHS-C tapes to DVD using this machine.  Most of the VHS-C tapes are only about 20 minutes full, so 2 or 3 VHS-C tapes them fit onto 1

RE: [Closed] DVD won't play on DVD player
What Justin said. However, before you pass this off as a pure readability issue, a failure of the player to read the physical medium properly and get the data from the disc, you might want to double-check to make sure that you have burned the

RE: [Closed] What should I export to in Movies on DVD 8
Hi Stefan, It's not a problem that is specific to your burner. The pre-Windows 7 Magix programs generally don't support burning under Windows 7 at this point in time. I can think of different ways to work around the problem, all of which you have

    RE: [Closed] Rip?
You can import DVDs into Movie Edit Pro, as long as they're not copy-protected. It doesn't require a special procedure or function. You just need to file-import the VOB files on the DVD (under "VIDEO_TS" folder) into the Movie Edit Pro

What kind of data is on the DVD-R? Is that a standard video DVD (e.g. recorded by a DVD camera)? Or is this an AVCHD camera that records to DVD? It always boils down to import the correct files from the medium into Movie Edit Pro. On a video DVD,

RE: Opening Magix Movie Maker 15 after disc burning
Hello Ian, which files are you missing? If you succeeded burning your project to disc, the VOB-files should be somewhere on your hardisc. In any case you could also make 1 to 1 disc copies.

RE: [Closed] Why is my movie is empty?
As far as I know, in some cases a DVD must be 'finalized' in the camera before it can be read in a computer. Check out this. Normal format for the video files is VOB, a sort of MPG's. The BUP's and IFO's do not contain video, forget them in this
