    MPEG-2 to MPEG-4
Hello, I have a new question regarding transcoding. In another test of mine, I decided to re-encode an MPEG-2 video in H.264 and the results weren’t too good. When playing back the H.264 file on my TV & Blu-ray Player, the motion didn’t look

    RE: VBR/CQ Comparisons
@jak.willis Hi Going off on another track, same issue though - . . . . The resolution of the test clip used is 720x576i @ 25fps.. . . . If you are upscaling this in MEP and viewing it the resulting video on a 1920 x 1080, or higher resolution,

@jak.willis Hi . . . . My target device would be a TV & Blu-ray Player . . . . The MC encoder is ignored in MEP when burning to BD disc, the default codec is used. Using 3rd party BD disc creation software and exporting as h.264 AVCHD format -

    RE: VBR/CQ Comparisons
The question is - what is the final destination/usage of the exported video eg Youtube, Vimeo, as a video file playing on a smart TV or computer, for Blu-Ray disc etc? Depending on the destination the changes you make may be undone by factors

    RE: VBR/CQ Comparisons
@jak.willis Hi Jak . . . . The default values of 24-25-27 gave me a much lower quality video. . . . . Assuming the default Quantization Parameter (QP) settings of the MC encoder are for h.264 encoding, they are higher then I would expect, are

RE: dvd's not playing on SONY BluRay player
@Reggie-Rivera Hi The player is capable of handling DVD on DVD-R and +R discs, however the error message is usually associated with an incorrect setting of the HDMI output/TV input configuration, however as older disc play OK this can be ruled

    RE: Export to a USB
@Peggy-Andreoli What @johnebaker was asking for, and what you really do need to find out, is what format(s) does your Smart TV require/expect? What you list is what PS offers but you need to ensure that the exported slideshow is in a format that

RE: Controlling playback - need options
It seems that most upgrades (not just to Magix software) are made by software writers who either don't actually use the product and/or don't recognize what worked before they make their so-called improvements. Just like the audio techs who mix the

    RE: Export to a USB
@Peggy-Andreoli Hi The most common formats Smart TV's accept are either h.264 MP4 or h.264 AVCHD (.m2ts) encoded video, Photostory is capable of exporting to both formats. If in doubt consult your TV's manual to see which format(s) and resolutions

    RE: Export to a USB
@Peggy-Andreoli Welcome to the Magix user to user forums. To what format are you exporting your PS project and, very importantly, what format(s) is your TV able to play from a USB stick? Unfortunately, I would suspect you are exporting your project

    Export to a USB
When using Photostory delux after I export the video to a USB I was able to view it on a computer but not a TV. How can I export to USB and have it be viewed on a TV?

RE: 2022 Premium - how do I get back to the default video's audio level?
Haha. I found out where to remove effects in that keyframing thin window. It's hard to make that bigger. I added a color video into the "Old TV" template and I wanted it not to be in black and white so I figured it out to remove the effects and it's

RE: Encoding fails with errNo 5
I use AVCHD because it is recommended for HD TVs. I assumed it was better. I used the Red Smoke template and it encodes under DVD and AVCHD. I just ran it again and burned a DVD under AVCHD. Success. I guess MEP doesn't like its own single entry

    RE: Lagarith Lossless Codec
@jak.willis @AAProds Greetings, assuming you are saving to 720x576 then that is 5:4 aspect. I read somewhere, and it's been proven in practice, that 720x576 accepts 16:9 but not actually 4:3. We know LAGS does this as does does HEVC and H264. In

@jak.willis @CubeAce @me_again It will be because the TV and Bluray can't decode the LAGS codec. I haven't been able to play any type of AVIs on my LG Smart TV or WDTV media player, but there could be a media player out there that does. Windows
