RE: VHS capture quality is very poor
    @AAProds Hi Alwyn . . . . RYVT specs show that it can’t export H264 but it can export MPEG-4. . . . . Not being able to export H264 would be a deal-breaker for me. . . . MPEG-4 is h.264/AVC - see here. I will have a look at my Panasonic DVD/Tape VHS

@MikaS Hi . . . .   Interpolate Intermediate images -trick. But at what point should I do it? . . . . Any time during editing, the effect is only used when exporting or creating BD discs. . . . . then export the mpeg-4's to Magix videos . . . . Does

    RE: Question regarding video upscaling
@jak.willis For export, I'd use the MPEG-4 menu (which will give you H.264/MP4). MP4 will be the most compatible format. Set the export up for: - 1920x1080 (should already be there for your lovie parameters) - Frame Rate 25fps - Ratio 16:9 Like

RE: VHS capture quality is very poor
@AAProds Hi Alwyn I can see what you are saying, however if the 'MPEG-4' codec is not AVC/h.264 then what is it? In an older version of RYVT specs it was referred to as MPEG-41 - is this a typo and meant to be MPEG-4 10 aka AVC? This is where using

@doug_mccarron Hi Doug. Sorry I'm late to the party. I have to agree with Al up to a point but you started the topic and included the following line. I am a film maker not a video software expert. Unfortunately if you are a one man band film maker

[Closed] New Laptop, Movie Studio 17 no longer accepts my video formats
I own a Mavic 2Pro Drone which outputs video MP4 files in H265, DLOGM 10 bit colour profile. I used Movie Studio 17 Platinum for years to edit my videos and it was great. When my Lenovo Yoke (i7) packed up recently, I bought a new Dell XPS17 with i9

    Movie Studio 2023 constantly freezes
I have used and updated several versions of Magix video editing software over the years, and have never run into a problem as I have when I upgraded to Magix Movie Studio 2023 Suite. I dragged three videos that had previously been edited in Magix

@Meeeeeeeee Hi . . . . When I export as MPEG-4 . . . Which preset are you using and did you make any changes to it? I agree with @CubeAce that a sample video clip would help, if the original causing the issue is too long then a sample clip 20 to 30

RE: VHS capture quality is very poor
@CubeAce Ray, I doubt the crosshatching is the result of mixed-up field order. I deinterlaced the MPEG file in Virtual Dub and the crosshatching is still there, in every frame. For what it's worth, MPEG 2 is normally BFF. I don't know why Magix

@Tom-Bauer Tom, I can't provide an answer at the moment but a couple of points: I don't see an option for exporting to mp4 The menu item is actually "Export movie... Video as MPEG-4" While you're experimenting, to stop wasting DVDs, on the DVD burn

RE: an error occurred during proxy rendering
@johnebaker @Jacek-Leniowski I think....  The purpose of proxy rendering is to adopt the properties of the source material. This includes aspect ratio, interlacing settings, and frames per second. Try to export the file with a different

@Ove5868 Re the interlacing, when you export to MPEG 4, it should go out as Progressive so the interlacing should be gone. I'm not familiar with VideoEasy though so I don't know what exact controls you have there.

@cmclernon The dreaded VHS capture. 😂 A few comments: - The colour flicker, interference and wavy edges at the top are classic symptoms of a lack of some sort of Time Base Correction. TBCs steady the video signal with a new timebase and will fix

I have tried something which might help in narrowing down the issue. I attempted to make a short video in Movie Edit Pro, using a small part of the drone footage, just as a test. When doing the MPEG-4 export, I selected MP4 Ultra HD 3840x2160 29.97p
