3d glases don't appear in the monitor
I have changed the settings, tried unistalling and reinstalling, followed all of magix lengthy email to try and use this software for 3d editing. I have a fujifilm w3 3d camera and all the files are recognized and can both import and export,

RE: How to use a picture as background in movie ?
Yes, you can do that. That sounds like a Picture-In-Picture effect. One image/video background, one image/video sized and positioned in the foreground overlaying the background image/video. I do this all the time.

RE: How to use a picture as background in movie ?
The software can do picture-in-picture, which also means it can do video-in-video or any combination of that. I am not sure if that is what you want. What this means (in terms of what I think you want) is that if I have a picture

RE: Is it possible to run route animation in the background of a video.
Like an overlay? It is possible but the results are not what you are expecting I do not think... unless the foreground video is chromakey.

RE: import DAT file not available in magix movie edit pro 17
Joosten, Never had a *.dat file so only guessing... Wiki article on video file formats says "MPEG-1 is found in a .DAT file on a video CD". There is a chance simply renaming your *.dat to *.mpg might do the trick. As to program

RE: Effects Overlay Lost
Is there a way you can go over this step-by-step, so that I can try it? This would mean knowing the file types you have used, as-well-as the effects and overlays you have used.

Effects Overlay Lost
I added effects to still pictures and video, with both sound and picture. They were working fine, I did more editing to other parts of the movie and now the video effects do not overlay the picture or video, you can still hear the audio portion

omarwilson, Can't answer with certainty as you have not said what Magix program you are using. With Movie Edit Pro and Video Pro X you can easily do this. Put the clip you want to overlay on a timeline track lower (higher

RE: Title Transparency
Carl, I figured out the cause of the problem (actually it was my wife's suggestion, to give credit where it is due). It wasn't hardware related and wasn't a bug in the software either, just perhaps a design flaw or gap in the

RE: Title Transparency
I've got complete opacity with the slider up in both MEP14+ and VPV2.5! I checked this with various video display options eg overlay or direct 3D etc (under 'File' >> 'Program settings'). Maybe check these if the problem might be video card

RE: Insert color panel?
I also own Roxio Creator 2011, Sony Vegas Studio 10 Platnium and Serif Movie Plus 13. Sony and Serif are very much alike so if you didn't like the Sony interface, you probably wouldn't like Serif. However, both are customizeable if you want to

RE: how do i use a green screen effect?
I use the Chroma-Key a lot, so I can help you out there. Which version of Movie Edit Pro do you have? The basic understanding for using this feature is setting up the track correctly. Remember that you need to use the Time-Line Mode of

RE: blue screen
First, make sure you have the tracks layed out correctly. The way Movie Edit Pro works with tracks im vital for how things are setup. The lower number track is always going to be the furthest back or the background to any higher number

RE: Can I do green screen with MAGIX?
It's very easy: import your "Green Screen" footage, then select Effects/VideoFX/VideoMixFX and apply the "Green Box" effect. Then just use the video as your "Overlay".

RE: I just bought Magix edit pro 16. Can anybody help on how to use the picture in picture affect?
The key thing to remember with picture-in-picture is that the images need placed correctly in the tracks, as they are layered... This of the Timeline mode as a building with floors. Track 1 would be the first floor, and all other tracks

RE: How do I have a transparent background for an object?
I use the Movie Edit Pro software from MAGIX... so I can take a photo of mine, and edit it with any photo editior... even Microsoft paint. I use this to turn a section green (bright green... chroma-key green) then when I load it into Movie Edit

RE: MEP15- Can you Pause or take a picture from a movie?
Put your red cursor at the postion, from where you want to export a still frame, use Alt+M (BMP) or Alt+N (Jpeg). Store the picture and drag it back to the timeline, e.g. in track 3. Then it will overlay the original video according to its length.

RE: Anchoring an object
Mark your video clip and the overlay object, and Group them by pressing Ctrl+L, or the Chain symbol on on Tools line over the Timeline. Now the two items are linked together.
