"I want to create my own music and use my own piano sound," To use the voice(s) of your piano, you need to record the audio output of your piano/keyboard.  You need to connect the audio output jacks on the back of your keyboard to the

RE: how can I listen to clicked-on notes in the midi editor so that it sounds like a normal piano?
I don't work for Magix, but I suspect that their reasoning for omiting the BASIC piano sound, was just that, its basic, so instead they give you a different sound, sort of like more bang for the buck, but in your situation, you wanted plain ol'

How can i turn my midi recording (keyboard) into an audio without using a VST Instrument?
I want to create my own music and use my own piano sound, not a VST instrument. BUt that seems to be the only way to turn it into and audio and put it on itunes. i looked at the magix manual and it says to export it and then add it back in, but it

RE: how can I listen to clicked-on notes in the midi editor so that it sounds like a normal piano?
This is pretty irritating for a couple reasons. 1) I can't believe that something as seemingly standard as an acoustic piano sound would be missing from the basic version, and 2) I bought this on amazon and the description reads as if it's the

RE: how can I listen to clicked-on notes in the midi editor so that it sounds like a normal piano?
You have no acoustic piano options because you have the Basic version.  That's why I asked (and would be important for you to tell us in the first place).  But, when you have "'No VST" checked, do you get the default mono acoustic piano? You

RE: how can I listen to clicked-on notes in the midi editor so that it sounds like a normal piano?
It's MM17 - basic. I assume I can get to the instrument menu by looking in the box at the top of the screen, a little to the right. It says, "Instr." "No VSTi" was already checked. That didn't result in me getting any sound when I click on the

Yeah....but, WHICH MMM-17?  Basic or Premium? To get the basic, mono acoustic piano, go into the instrument menu and choose "No VST".  Vita will then default to the basic piano sound. Assuming your version has it, the plain "Acoustic Piano" in

RE: Recording to Magix Music Maker 17 via Yamaha PSR E203
I solved this issue myself tonight. I updated the drivers for the midisport midi cable, although I'm not sure that's what did the trick. In one of these questions/answers, someone posted a pdf file that was pretty helpful. It's called

how can I listen to clicked-on notes in the midi editor so that it sounds like a normal piano?
I'm using MM17 with Windows 7. I have some midi files that I want to edit. When I bring the track up, double click on it to open the midi editor, and hit play, I hear the music just like it sounded when I recorded it from the piano keyboard.

Hi . . . .I can no longer record using What U Hear . . . You probably have a Realtek HD sound card/chipset in which case see this post - warning - this can introduce echo depending on how other parameters of the sound chip have been

how can I record using What U Hear with a soundblaster recon 3d pcie card?
Hi. I originally wanted to know why I was having trouble listening to some midi and mp3 files on my new computer, which I had created on MM11 on a different computer. The new computer (Windows 7, 64 bit) has MM17. I copied my old files onto the

why do midi files sound so strange in MM17?
Hi. I created some midi files in MM11 a few months ago. I just bought a new computer (Windows 7, 64 bit) and then installed MM17 today. I also copied my old files onto the new computer. When I dragged a midi file up into the midi editor, it

RE: Putting original music into magix
"Step Input"! That sounds perfect; thanks! I just tried the piano roll thing, and while tedious it did result in a very pleasing piece. I also discovered by accident that the arrow tool can create a box and grab what is in it. And Ctrl C/V

RE: Putting original music into magix
Sorry....MIDI editing with a graphical interface doesn't get any easier.  Making snap judgements about it before you spend any real time with it is only going to be discouraging and self-defeating. "...it doesn't even look like music."  That's

Are you able to just play the whole track B4 you try to export ?  Assuming the answer is yes, have you tried to re-arrange the tracks so that Piano is now track 3 instead of 6 (for example) ?  What happened ?
