If you change the channels volume to inf., you will have no sound at all. You could reduce the files volume to -10dB or so using 'Peak Normalize', (Process menu) then insert a volume plug-in (keyboard shortcut=V) which will give you a variable

I can confirm Scenestealer suggestion to delete the file extension ".HO" for files you do not have the "Create wave form display" for. I had the video clip "20180606163127.mts" in a project with no waveform, nor the option to "Create wave form

Does it help if you manually delete the .sfk file which is besides the WAV file (created by Acid for wave visualization)? If you have also ACID_32 bit installed, can you verify that the problem does not occur in ACID_32?

@KeithAdv Magix' other programs, like MusicMaker, Movie Edit Pro and Samplitude, which you have, only show one VST plugin path. To get more, you click on the add plugin button and navigate to the plugin folder. The plugins will now show up.

"Restore Original Sound" only shows up if the audio has been separated from the video like I mentioned, by ungrouping (or sending to the external audio editor, which replaces the sound with a wave file). John CB
