  @john_barr Is this a problem? I personally still use SF12 and it works fine. It seems like SF18 also is less buggy than previous versions 16 and 17. For editing WAV files and it's scripting capabilities it's good enough.

  fixed the crashing problem and changing Options> Preferences> Internal> ("Activate legacy MP3 plug-in" (Change FALSE to TRUE) seems to have fixed the issue of saving as/to mp3 files. We'll see how it goes and I'll report back.
