RE: VPX9 - mask display ok, inverted in export
Update: I tried on my Surface Pro and it works fine. I tried again on the desktop in a new project and it worked ok. Went to the other project and exported but this time turned off the Anti-interlace filter - export was fine. Exported again with the

RE: VPX9 - mask display ok, inverted in export
Hi John EB, Thanks for checking. I will try out your solution and also check on my laptop to see if I get the same problem. In the meantime, I switched to the Cookie Cutter which works much better and I can feather the edges. I had tried making

RE: VPX9 - mask display ok, inverted in export
Hi John CB Assuming the mask image is a black and white image I cannot replicate this. There is however, a simpler way of obtaining the highlight - the image on track 4 is not necessary - remove the image from track 4, set the mask arrow down and

VPX9 - mask display ok, inverted in export
VPX 15.0.5.195 I have the same image on tracks 1 and 4 and a png (I also tried a jpg) mask on track 3, arrow pointing upwards. The image on track 4 has brightness down to 32, at 50 on track 1. In the image below, you can see the desired effect in

RE: MEP 2017(18) Pro - Latest Update
Thanks JohnEB As I said the intro dialogue I just find annoying and could disable it in the previous version. JohnW I've already raised a support note, had a reply they're looking into it. Hi, I don't understand why you would want to eliminate the

RE: ? what does it means ?
Hi Knud Keyframes are a way of animating image and video movement and effects and are very useful. Here is an explanation of how to animate the mask image using keyframes. The values entered are for the mask image I made. The down load link does

Collages - Limited to 30 objects?
Anyone created a collage with more than 30 objects? I have one with 31 and have only just noticed an odd quirk. The 31st target object does not get used. Instead, it's replaced by the 31st object in the original collage template. (For anyone

RE: split screen with alpha mask does not open
Hi John, Nice find! I can replicate that quirk in MEPP 2016. In fact the alpha suffix trick does not seem to work at all. My import just got the standard 'Stamp' key applied. MEP 2014 does work as expected, i.e. the mask does get alpha status, an

RE: split screen with alpha mask does not open
I think I should mention that after watching the tutorial once more, there is no indication that Chroma Key should be applied and this is what got me confused. I think you missed it, José. At the 0:55 point of John's 2:59 video 'Tutorial 04 Split

RE: split screen with alpha mask does not open
Hi José, As John EB pointed out, you have to put the chromakey alpha on the mask - Effects, Video effects, Chroma key and select alpha. Once on the object, you can reverse the arrow on the object to inverse the effect. John CB

split screen with alpha mask does not open
This for John CB Hi John, As you can see above the mask has not been applied and I don´t know why. At first I thought it was caused by the mxv extension or that maybe I had not saved the mask as alpha but after rechecking both I found this was not

RE: Overlaying clips that are transparent
Checked this again another way using MEP2018 Plus and I found that simply using a chromakey black on the overlay was better. When the musical notes show up, there is a cross-shaped white glow that can be seen in the simple version with chromakey

RE: Overlaying clips that are transparent
Hi again, Here is another trick. To get possibly a better result, copy the produce.avi down directly below where it was located (easier to see if you remove the audio track) so that you have it on tracks 3 and 5. Remove the chromakey from both
