Hi James, Sorry about the slight, but your question did not demonstrate to me your 15 years in Samplitude, and I think that my answer concurs with your question. Now that you have explained it better, basically, you have to make your own patterns.

Why do other tracks record onto the track I am recording live vocals and instruments?
